Repentant Militia Gana Reportedly Killed By Military. I Have A Question by blazesam(m): 12:34am On Sep 09, 2020
Wanted Benue gang leader Terwase Akwaza alias Gana has been killed.

While the military said he was killed in a gun battle with operatives, Governor Sam Ortom alleged he was seized from a convoy of repentant militants on its way to the Government House for a peace meeting.

Commander of the Four Special Forces command, Doma local government area, Brigadier General Maude Ali Gadzama, confirmed Gana was gunned down in a battle with operatives.

But Ortom accused soldiers of abducting Gana from a Government convoy of repentant militants in Gboko.

The Nation had reported Gana surrendered on Tuesday with 172 militia boys in Katsina-Ala local government in Benue.

They were on their way to Makurdi when they were intercepted by military officials, Ortom alleged.

IF GANA IS TRULY KILLED, HOW MANY TIMES HAS ARMY ATTACKED BOKO HARAM THAT CLAIM TO BE REPENTED FROM THE ACT OF INSURGENCY? OR IS IT BECAUSE HE IS A TIV MAN?

We are all Nigerians and we deserve equal treat not partial

Gana must be a learner..this is not a govt for minority like him to trust ... repentant Boko Haram is what the govt honors

I wonder why he would accept amnesty granted by the Governor and still went ahead to engage soldiers in a duel.
It doesn't make sense to me.

He didn't engage them in a duel.
They cornered him while he was going to the government-approved location in Makurdi,
seized him and then executed him.

He was granted amnesty for the second time by the governor.
He was then intercepted, abducted, and subsequently murdered by the men of NA while on his way to the state capital for a peace meeting at the state house (alongside other said amnesty beneficiaries), according to the governor.
Wow!
What I learned:
Gana was in a way enmeshed with some filthy political affair, and had to disappear.
The amnesty was a bait. A trap to take out the poor fellow.
The governor certainly knows how to keep his hands clean.

You know...this might not even make any sense.

I smell something fishy also. Could it had been a mare propaganda? And on the army side, why should they attack a government convoy? I suspect Ortom also.

Repent my ass! We all know the rainy season is not favourable in the jungle and also that the battle for 2023 is going to be fought in the Sankera axis where he operates. The military couldn't sit idly by and watch another nonsense charade again. Simple.

Whether Boko Haram, killer herdsmen, IPOB or Ethnic Militia, he who lives by the gun will surely die by the gun.

Especially when that person begins to drag immortality with his Almighty. Good riddance.

This is hypocrisy on the highest order. If the military is looking for repentant militants to kill, why didn't they intercept and kill the graduated repented boko haram members that have even killed their fellow comrades.
The way this guy was killed ( intercepted on his way to makurdi after dropping arms) shows that the military is afraid of him, because it is only cowards that attack an unarmed man that has denounced fighting. It even makes the guy look like a hero irrespective of whether some people will come here to say

It seems like someone has poisoned the minds of our youths with myopic tribal stupidity and illogicality.

They would rather criticise Buhari for his amnesty programme yet shy away from doing same against Ortom then hypocritically shift the narrative against the army for killing a notorious bandit, who had already abused the programme

Can someone tell me what is the difference between boko haram and this bandit; who had killed, robbed, kidnapped and terrorised his own ppl - except his tribe and religion?

Look at the pictures of Gana above where he surrendered. Do you see him armed? If you look well you will even see a Soldier in face mask just behind him. So what does that tell you?

He accepted the amnesty, came out, laid down his arms, greeted people and when he entered his vehicle to go and meet the Governor, the Army ambushed him and murdered him.

This was murder, not exchange of fire.

Aboki stop being clever by half... He was executed because he wasn’t a Fulani simple.... same NA is about to release another set of “repentant boko Haram” next month

I guess you were part of the meeting where it was decided to execute him because of his tribe and that the army is entirely made up of only Fulani - including yourself.

If you dig this issue too deep

You will realize that Gana's only crime was standing up to the Fulani herdsmen, bandits and Bokoharam, killing Benue people nothing more!

The Nigerian security are not reliable

If you have encounter with any of them and you scale through without being framed, no be because say you wise, na God got your back!!!
