Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo has said that Nigeria is now on the verge of becoming a corrupt nation under President Muhammadu Buhari. Obasanjo made the remarks in Abuja on Thursday during a meeting with representatives of certain regions and ethnic groups in Nigeria. He said Nigeria needed to be pulled back quickly before it was completely destroyed. Participants included Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Afenifere, Middle Belt Forum, Northern Elders Forum, and Pan Niger Delta Forum. Obasanjo joined the Nigerian and Biafran wars. He said the way Nigeria was divided now was the way it was divided before the war. He accused the government of being dishonest in this regard, especially the lack of attention paid by the authorities in Nigeria with various ethnic groups. However, he said those who called for the partition of Nigeria also knew that the country to be divided would be neighboring and cohesive.

Nigeria has never been one, the unity is only in the papers because we are divided against ethnic, sectional and religious lines. The disintegration of Nigeria will be better than the cosmetic unity that our politicians are preaching because of their selfish interests. 5 Likes |

potopotoking: I have always said this from beginning Nigeria's problem is not the government but the people are illiterate and stupid they will only vote for a criminal. Just go to developed countries and you will see the same thing with Nigerians voting for criminals up and down the place running and chasing criminals |
