Exactly my point. Not everyone is cut out to be a writer. And as someone who has your level of experience, one would think you should be able to discern the presence of the basic skill set required before approaching or suggesting the job to an individual so as not to waste each other's time. I believe a coach helps to refine one's talents and in the absence of any, there's little a coach can do. The OP is desperately in need of money, enrolling him into your program and later dropping him would be devastating.

But then again, what do I know about writing? Lol

I understand all this but trust me, I have five amazing writers today who were never writers atall. Right now, they are so good you'd think they've been writing for years. How did it happen, desire and belief
