Philipponzaghi: you see how you praised him to self embarrassment in Edo election. let me remind you that even among clergies with mass followership like Fr. Mbaka, Adeboye, Bishops and co and imams among others preached openly against Jonathan's re-election because there was incessant bombings and other related violence all over the north including against Churches and Mosques. I could remember Ezekwesili and Michelle Obama carrying placards to campaign bring back our girls (with regards to Chibok girls abduction) before the White House. I think it was Clinton also who came to Nigeria to preside over a meeting between Jonathan and Buhari (aspirant) at the build up of the election which was due to Obama's interest to remove Jonathan because he was not doing his bidding especially as it concerns gay marriage, etc. Obasanjo tearing his PDP membership card to show his disapproval of Jonathan's re-election was another biggest problem of that moment. So vividly, both Internal and external factors played against Jonathan's re-election but above all was his diplomatic and peaceful nature of not wanting to remain in Aso Rock at the expense of violence even when it was clear that INEC compromised by allowing underage children from Niger, Chad and North to get registered and voted. So where was Tinubu's personal profile apart from joining Buhari to protest against Jonathan's re-election like many others in the streets of Nigeria. It's only you and your likes that see what you referred as political worthiness in Tinubu, a man who cannot engage in political language to convince people to vote against Obaseki but that self- ridiculed video he made against himself. And I keep asking, is Tinubu a politician? where lies his self-aclaimed political sagacity? |
