Hey all, so I have been on this crazy and interesting forum for a long time. I have seen many guys and very few ladies create topics on "Searching for a true relationship" on nairaland. Some of them have been trolled at and even insulted by both guys and ladies, who question the rationale behind coming to a faceless forum to seek for a serious relationship.
Truth is that, I have been indifferent to such posts. But here I am, about to follow their lead!

I will be 30 by December, and I am really starting to think about settling down for real. I'm not RICH, but I am doing fine for my self and will do better with time by the grace of God.
I know I am handsome, even though beauty is relative sha (smiles) but also very humble and down to earth.
I am a software developer, loves football like mad and God fearing.
I'm 6ft, I don't know my weight at the time of making this topic, but I am sure my BMI is perfect. Ebony chocolate in complexion, AA genotype.
I am a peace loving guy and I wouldn't compromise on that! I actually have my flaws too, but I am working on it.
So if you are a lady and you meet the following criteria, send me a PM

1. You are not a student
2. You don't have entitlement mentality
3. You have a job or something reasonable and
morally justifiable that fetches money for you.
4. If you didn't meet the criterion in #3 above, but
you have a responsible father/family that will
be responsible for your needs as a woman.
5. You are intelligent and not a boring person.
The life of a software engineer is already
lonely cry so I need someone to complement.
6. Though I'm not necessarily looking for
physical beauty, it's a plus wink
7. You don't have lotta drama up your sleeve
8. You are educated, I didn't say you must have a
degree.
9. You want to settle down
10. Your body count is at the barest minimum, if
not zero.
11. If you are aged between 24 and 34

That's all I can think of right now.
Please if you find any typos or syntax errors in my grammar, pardon me because I am more concerned about writing in the language that the computer understands than that which a human understands

Get off your high horse.

It will be hard to find any Nigeria girl that will match the requirements above( maybe you have to go for the white girls).

1. Most of the Nigerian girls will only agree to go into relationship because of money (they are always broke grin)
2.chatting with some of them are sometimes boring (they won't discuss something reasonable) undecided

But not all of them are like that, so you have to be patient before you can find the perfect one — because it will take time cheesy

But it's good bro, you are a successful guy... So perhaps it will be easier for you smiley
Have a nice day

Ok, so I do receive pm time to time from ladies, and many actually do want a relationship, many of which lives abroad, and I will tell you this, if you are looking for a partner on nairaland, then you should follow this approach. Make sure your posts reflect an idea of someone that is ridiculously smart. Write with proper diction and eloquence, with a periodical inflexion of humour.

Also, do not come out as broke, but as being comfortable in your domain. your post should reflect a feeling of a high-status man behind the keyboard. Women are sensitive to social status than men and can read cues in your write up about your economical standing than men are capable of. It also helped if you have a profile pics, I know for sure that I got more pm about two years ago when I had a pic on my profile than now. So yeah, you gotta be fine (which obviously you are, but take a picture with good lighting and shadowy effects that highlight your symmetrical facial features.

Those that have been reading my posts here know that I've always been a proponent of the doctrine that it is women that choose men, not otherwise. A woman will put herself in a situation that would make you do the male job of asking her out, while she does the female job of responding. It doesn't mean you choose her, but she has chosen you, and her acceptance of your advances is a mere confirmation to this effect. But I honestly would not advise you look for women here and the same goes for women as well. You should meet people offline, where they have a non-delusional image of you, not due to your highlighted online persona.

If you manage to get one, her family members go be problem. For now, I dey on d low.

Most ladies that are decent would have guys around them offline, plus they carry themselves high, I doubt if they'll send you a PM. See one above is even asking you to make the first move by sending her a DM.
It's the ones that don't fit your criteria that would message you. Or like someone said above, those that are abroad and looking for a relationship. So watch out.

I guess you'll manage what comes your way because anybody with all of what you listed (which are very good and valid points) won't send you a PM.

I think you have a point there, but I don't see myself compromising yet. It's better I continue enjoying my life as it is right now than to settle for less and blame myself in future.

As for lady asking me to send DM, I think she is acting typically naija
