So i intend to change my phone on Monday but I'm really confused on what choice to make.

I intend getting either Used Samsung Galaxy note 8 or New Xiaomi redmi note 9pro.

Which is good for heavy gaming and good camera quality...

Well, the Redmi Note 9 pro will be more expensive, but it has an edge over the Samsung galaxy Note 8

Performances are almost alike(but I think the 720G of the Redmi being less outdated is a little bit better than the SD 835 of the Galaxy Note , Ram/ROM comparable, but the display of the Galaxy note 8 is better(1440p AMOLED as compared to the 1080p LCD on the Redmi Note 9)

The Battery of the Redmi N9 is far better than that of the Galaxy N8, Cameras, well, almost alike to, it will come down to preference.

But overall the Redmi Note 9 is a better device being more up to date than the Galaxy Note 8, may receive a software update to Android 11 while the Galaxy Note 8 is stuck with Android 9(One UI).


I think you can get a galaxy s9+ at the price of the Redmi Note 9 pro and it will be a better buy, the only compromise will be in the battery department, but you'll be getting Android 10(One UI 2.1 which is a better software skin than MiUI)

buy Samsung m31 from jumia you won't regret it. I'm using the phone, best battery life I've ever seen in a phone, good processor and in all great phone.

That M31 is a beast in the battery department, if Gaming isn't OP's thing then he should go for Galaxy Note 8 or M31

NB both phones above are very good for gaming but the 835 heats up under heavy gaming whereas the Redmi Note 9 Pro 720g does not.

Note 8 is better cos of the processor and the display will give you a better gaming experience since you're a gaming fan. But the battery won't be up to the Redmi. So it's about experience and longetivity. The difference between the battery life will be one you'll notice. should be 2hrs different. I see u went for the M31 but I'll think you should go for the M51 if it's in Nigeria already. Cos m31 is Exynos chipset that sucks battery that's why it's coming with 6000mah I don't know if it can cover it.

I don't know what you intend to do, all I know is that Xiaomi will give you same Samsung specs for a cheaper price. Samsung phones are overpriced.

So, i finally got the Note 9 Pro.

I love the gaming speed and the camera is so detailed but the typing is trash.
