I was shocked to find out that some eat the placenta of their babies as a means of disposing it.They either cook or barbecue it before eating.They prefer doing this as opposed to burying the placenta which I know is most popular means of disposing it or burning.


I find this very disturbing,gross and disgusting.Are there no health implications attached to doing this?Personally,I don't see any difference between those engaging in that and cannibals.
If they can eat a placenta,they might as well eat human flesh.

heard of that sometime ago, the elders in the family prepare the new borns placenta with okro soup, "it makes life easy for him/her"

Others plant trees on the spot the burried the placenta.

But all these fetish practices are what bring hinderans and bad lucks to some persons in life.

Kim Kardashian cooked and ate North's own and even shared with her family members. Some of them refused it though. And she laughed at their squeamishness. I remember it making headlines then. I don't know if she did same for the others.

American women cook and eats placenta as well, its a common practice and people who do it see anything wrong with that.

Heard of this before, some claim it helps eliminate postpartum depression and can be nutritious. They don't eat it raw though.
