I have noticed that when it comes to Naija used cars, Honda vehicles usually have their engines intact & relatively neat unlike most Toyotas that always look rusty, dirty or overly worked on?

Does this mean Hondas can handle Nigerian roads/conditions/users better than Toyotas?


Is there a reason for this? Just curious.

Most Honda owners handle their car with care. There is this myth most people believed in Nigeria that Toyota cars are the best so they have this sense of "nothing dey happen" in their mind thinking they are driving the best car

But I don't mean being clean (washed).
I mean being intact. Most Toyotas have signs of being worked on. Engine cover off, exposed fittings, rust etc

Okay. This makes sense.

They believe Toyota engines can take much abuse and can be handled by any Kazeem and still dey Kampe.

Out of fear or caution, a Honda driver may look for a better Kazem or generally treat the car better
