Manchester United 'are considering a £35million bid for Sevilla's Lucas Ocampos' if they fail in their pursuits of Jadon Sancho and Ousmane Dembele.

As Monday's transfer deadline fast approaches, United have been forced to seek alternatives to Sancho after hitting an impasse with Borussia Dortmund over their £108m asking price.

Barcelona's Dembele emerged as a potential Plan B this week either on loan or for a fee of around £45m with the Spanish club keen to sell.

However, according to ESPN, a third option has now emerged in the former of Sevilla forward Ocampos.

They report the Spanish club would be willing to part with 26-year-old Argentina international Ocampos for around £35m.

He scored 17 goals last season and helped Sevilla win the Europa League, beating United in the semi-finals.

ESPN report that representatives from United have already carried out extensive due diligence on Ocampos' attributes, temperament and his current situation at Sevilla.

United have noted his stature at 6ft 2in, physicality and ability to play in various role across the forward line.

Primarily, United are looking for a right-sided attacker to bolster their attacking options and provide support for Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood.

United's chances of reaching an agreement with Dortmund for Sancho are fading fast with the window set to close at 11pm on Monday night.

Though they have made progress in negotiations over wages and agents' fees in recent weeks, there hasn't been a compromise over the price.

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc reiterated this week that the club will not budge from their £108m valuation.

He said: 'Everything there is to tell on this matter from our end has already been said.

'And that won't change over the next three days.'

ESPN say there is optimism a deal can be brokered for Dembele, who has been persuaded by his friend and France team-mate Paul Pogba to come to United.
