Build skill acquisition centers for youths and empower them. Modernize hospitals and inner street roads. They will rather prefer to build hefty fly over with no economic value. Having well tarred roads and inner street roads are more important than having one gigantic bridge or flyover.

Government in Nigeria are known for misplaced priorities - I am not impressed.

I dunno about other states and their flyovers, but you see the ones Dav built, they are all strategic.

Governor David Umahi accessed loan from Islamic bank.

Those loans are properly monitored. Ebonyi state would pay back those loans until next 30years.

But its better as the state has been fully developed with basic infrastructures.

THE CHALLENGES:

1. What's the quality & standard of projects?
2. The credibility of companies doing the Job?
3. Will projects stand the test of time in future?

Because quality of infrastructure in a state attracts investors to grow the economy of the state.

There is no foreign company handling these projects. The ministry of works and of course cheap labour do the work.

No one denies the loans that he borrowed, however you should know Ebonyi has one of the lowest debt in SE and in the federation. If other states can be able to pay theirs, I see no reason any incoming govt after Dave cannot be able to.

And in 10 years Ebonyi can build a bigger and better mall or other social infrastructure. What is leased is a building, not an industry and certainly not an ideology. Nothing is over. The quest for investment has just begun.

This is the what Nigerians fail to realise about the complaints surrounding the privatisation of power. Facilities and other infrastructure can be exclusive but not the industry as a whole.

For your information, those things you listed are already in place.

Umahi was able to achieve those within his first 2 years in office.

He is currently building a brand new teaching hospital which is over 70 percent completion. This was after renovating the 13 General hospitals in the state.

All the inner streets are built on 8inches concrete roads.

Over 52 primary school buildings have been built by Umahi at the rate of 4 per local government and more are currently going on through UBEB assisted projects.

I must commend Umahi for this great work, the first time I saw this mall I was amazed by the magnificent structures and settings. Nice one God bless Nigeria.
