Igbo Amaka!
They say destiny can only be delayed but can never be changed. You can only delay Ndigbo from using the River Niger port that God has given to them but you can never dry up the river, move it away, wish it away or make it to stop flowing.
For those that will be here to hail Buhari please answer this question, did Buhari create River Niger?

If they want, they can sing the landlocked song forever. We dont fvckin care!!!

As long as we are able to use the so called land locked river to bring in our goods, its still mission accomplished.

This news is like the first rain after a long and dusty hot season.

It's a very welcome development.

for those who might not know yet , this is an earth breaking and game changing event . what this means is that the journey to Lagos to clear goods , get harrassed by touts , task force and State government agents is over , the current extortion happening along Lagos - Onitsha express way , the bandit attacks , the armed robbery is over .

I just hope the Port will be well utilized and will usher a reverse migration of our people from Lagos back to the east, the unfair business policies are gradually being overturned by God himself

That is why I say that, though I don't key into Nnamdi Kanu's ideology (especially the Jewish ancestry part) and version of Biafra , the young man's commitment to the welfare of Ndigbo and our current renaissance cannot be overemphasized

That is the version of Biafra I dislike, I am fully in for a full Igbo state ( Igbo bụ Igbo) with the name Alaigbo excluding ikwerre and the confused people of Delta State else we will inherit Nigeria confusion and stand chance of being denied, sabotaged and insulted like in the late 60s. But if there should be need to include another ethnic group, it should be our old and trusted ally ibibio and some ethnicities from Akwa - Cross and they must have their own state while the Biafra will be run as a confederacy

As much as I like the Akwa-cross people, I think its time we let everyone chart their own course. We can work out economic policies with them in the future. But let everyone go and govern themselves.

The ingrates won't thank Buhari now, it's only bad news they will start singing Buhali Buhali like broken record.

As for those who are saying that the Lagos ports are now useless to them, sorry to tell you that your ships would still berth in Lagos, you will still do the Normal clearing of your goods. The only difference is that it would be transported to your destination using badges instead of Trucks. Your undredged narrow rivers cannot be navigated by large cargo ships.

Thank the same person that shut down the concession process all these years? you must be mad.

Not everyone can be deceived, I have been following the port news since 2014 just like I have been following 2nd Niger bridge. You may deceive a lot of Igbos into thanking buhari but you can never deceive me because I know what really happened.

Don't mind him. I told them the same thing on a different thread that large container vessels can berth in Onitsha after dredging. Once Onitsha port is dredged and experience terminal expansion, there wont be any need for large vessels to stop at sea ports. Ships will go directly through the river.
