What are the 12 Fruits of the Holy Spirit?

1. Charity

We are required by the lord to give to others as God has given to us. If you're in a state of financial success and are able to help others who may not be so fortunate, God wants us to do that and to put others' needs above our own selfish desires.

2. Joy

In Galatians 5:22-23 it states that Joy is a fruit of God and it resides within ourselves as a gift that should be cherished from the heavens above. God has given us the gift of being joyful and praising him and his grace even in our storms.

3. Peace

May we have peace knowing we are in the presence of the Lord and God has given us inner peace even in the most stressful of times.

4. Faithfulness

God has given us the gift of faithfulness so that we may have faith in that that we do not see. Faith is what is able to take our humanly flaws and turns them into the ability to see the Lord.

5. Patience

A very important yet difficult gift God has blessed us with is the gift of patience. Although it is hard for us to practice at times, he is always patient with us which allows us access to the kingdom and the glory of God.

6. Gentleness

Gentleness is a gift that transforms us into God-like people and gives us the opportunity to feel things for others and portray those feelings in an appropriate way.

7. Modesty

Modesty is a gift that when utilized will bring you great joy and result in your eternal happiness. Those who do not practice this gift could go down a bad path.

8. Self-Control

Practicing self-control is another gift from God that allows us to be the best versions of ourself.

9. Goodness

Goodness speaks for itself as we are all blessed with the goodness of God.

10. Chastity

Chastity, otherwise known as abstinence is the idea of saving our selves wholly and completely for our spouse.

11. Generosity

We were given the gift of generosity from the Lord our God and are now expected to also be generous in everything we do.

12. Kindness

Kindness is a virtue, and when we utilize the gift of being kind we will be rewarded in full.
