So this is the protest that make me to sit in traffic for over 2 hrs in Victoria Island.

Making me suffer for some bad egg in SARS instead of taking the fight/protest to the government house. Na we be the SARS!

Do you see how stupid this protest is, poorly plan and how the aim has been rubbished due to lack of understanding, on how one should convey their message to the right channel.

By the way who told them you can ban SARS. A tactical squad that has been in existed since 90's. Should them not been calling for reform other than outright ban.

Is these the set of people that will be leaders of tomorrow. No wonder the old guard still hold power till today because the young Nigerian has refuse to evolve to the challenges of today, instead of dishing out better solution to the current problem facing the Nigerian police force such as lobbying for better pay, insurance and training for our police men. We should talk to our representative in our government houses. They were elected for a reason.

And for those soliciting for gun for all citizen. I pity you. If it come true I will be the first to gun you down to know the taste of it.

To be sincere the menace of yahoo guys /fraudsters need to be curb. Most of you don't know how dangerous having them around until you are dupe. Most of us knows some of them living around us. It hight time we start making report to the police until then, this police shit continue. Let rid them out of our community. They do more harm than good.

If your Expensive Mobile Phone is stolen by cultist , armed robbers, and thieves acting like Yahoo boys, go to any SARS office with your IMEI number or phone pack, pay them 5k and they would retrieve your phone and arrest the culprits

If your Car has tracker and it got stolen rush to SARS office to lodge complaint so that they can quickly track and radio all division for a road block before it's gone forever... It's cost you some bribe tho

Everyone is saying #ENDSARS.... but that isn't the solution. SARS is a Unit under NPF. If you close or end SARS, does it stop Police brutality, extortion, corruption, etc?

The answer is NO. The perpetrators are the POLICE Officers who have been wired to be oppressive, indiscretional, corrupt, criminal-minded, etc. Because of the fundamental problem of the SYSTEM. Ending SARS or renaming the Unit will never solve or end the problems with NPF.

The solution is very simple and BASIC. First is to identify the root cause or causes and proffer control measures.

When NPF is seen as the easiest route of being gainfully employed by Government without formal education. Hence it is flooded with people of questionable characters. Yet we expect them to behave civil. Not possible. You don't respect or value a job you get without some "+ve efforts/requirements.

We expect uneducated/trained Policemen to be courteous and civilised. Not possible.

We expect Policemen with very poor welfare and extremely low salaries not to "rogger" 20 naira on the roads.... Not possible.


My simple solution....
Reform the entire system. By..
1. Recruiting Officers with minimum of OND or NCE
2. Give them quality training on Policing and other related aspects of the job
3. Pay them well and improve their general welfare
4. Let them know NPF is not a revenue generating body
5. Put objective appraisal system in place..... and more..

The first 3 points alone will effectively solve the menace in NPF. Others and more are supporting points.....
