JOB TITLE: Program Manager RESPONSIBLE TO: Senior Program Manager RESPONSIBLE TO JOB HOLDER: Deputy Program Managers, Project Managers OVERALL PURPOSE: To ensure successful implementation of component projects within the program, by providing technical direction and overall navigation of the projects. MAIN TASKS: • Providing leadership. • Representing the Organization in negotiation and other official functions • Strategic Planning • Monitoring & Evaluating performance of deputy Program Manager/ Project Managers • Reviewing project specific reports • Deep involvement in fund raising activities for programs. • Preparing program reports. • Plan, Organize, direct, control and evaluate the service delivery of social and community programs in aid of Orphans and vulnerable children • Manage the operations and activities of Resource centres, Health centres, Nutritional clinics/Food demonstration programs and Field Offices • Administer the program of NGO involved with social issues such as healthcare, human/child rights, and National development (in general) • Administer Volunteers and staff involved with providing services to OVC • Establish administrative procedures to meet the objectives set by the Board of Directors and Senior Management • Represent the Organization for the purpose of Government liaison and marketing relations • Participate in policy development by preparing reports and briefs for management committees and working groups • Participate in job-profiling, hiring and training of professional and non-professional staff. QUALIFICATIONS: • Post-graduate degree in Humanities or Social Sciences. • Minimum of 3 years post degree experience; must be at senior level.
