Yesterday, 16 October, The National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS), University of Uyo chapter, on Friday embarked on a peaceful demonstration, calling on the federal government and the Academic Staff Unions of Universities, (ASSU) to resolve their differences and allow students return to school.

The protest took place at University of Uyo Town Campus as early as 7am as the students were dressed in black white and green were the gave the government seven days to grant their request.

The students also threatened to shut down Aso Rock and the National Assembly if their requests are not granted within the next seven days.
