The End SARS protest appears to be more than just a protest against the notorious law enforcement agency that we know as SARS. The End SARS protest is a protest against bad governance and several other things which would take too long to list and explain in this article.

The coordinated series of protests, motivated by the youth's dedication to the End SARS hashtag on social media started as a peaceful one but it has soon degenerated into an avenue for mass violence. As portrayed by recent happenings in several parts of Nigeria, the protests have been hijacked by thugs and hooligans who consider this an opportunity to loot shops and rob people.

In response to the increasing rate at which these protests were becoming violent, curfews were announced in States with the highest amount of violence. An example is Lagos in South Western Nigeria. Some moments after the curfew was announced in Lagos state, the mass shooting of protesters at Lekki tollgate was reported. The perpetrators of this evil were alleged to be the Nigerian military.

In a live stream by DJSwitch, a popular Disc Jockey in Lagos who had joined the protest, the deaths of these dedicated yet peaceful protesters were caught on camera. Nigerians commended her on her bravery and labelled her a national hero.

Several Influential figures; some of which were not even Nigerians expressed their shock at the "genocide" as it was called by members of the public. Nicki Minaj, Banky W, Rihanna amongst others were those who reacted to the news.

Hillary Clinton, the former presidential candidate was displeased by this act and using her social handle, posted her concern for what was happening in Nigeria. She urged the military and the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari to put an end to the issue.

You would find below a screenshot of her tweet:

Despite the painful incident at Lekki Tollgate, in Lagos, youths didn't back down and continued to protest. Reprisal attacks on government buildings commenced. Places like police stations and bus stations were burnt down in multiple attacks across the federation.

Listicles believes that if these protests continue to persist, we may observe three scenarios of which we may never recover from. Here they are:

1. THE MILITARY MAY TAKEOVER
As we have previously observed in some countries, Mali, for example, we might see a military takeover soon. Power may be snatched from the hands of the civilian government and the military may take overall in a bid to restore normalcy.

In 1993, a military takeover from the civilian president, Shehu Shagari by the current Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari was observed. This whole scenario may play out as Karma. There has always been hushed speculation of a potential military takeover but current Chief of Staff of the Nigerian Army, Lt. Col. Tukur Burutai has not once nor twice, affirmed his loyalty to the President. However, you never know with the Nigerian military. We can never be too sure of anything.

2. MASS RESIGNATION OF PUBLIC OFFICE HOLDERS
When the bloody incident that occurred in Lekki Tollgate happened, many sections of the media and several youths asked the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo Olu to step down and resign. There were also similar calls to President Muhammadu Buhari.

3. The people could win, and win big sef.

The long years of terribly bad leadership in the country could be overturned and the people can enthrone the type of government they want. A government that will be responsible, and sensitive to the wishes of the people.

4. The country can disintigrate

4 or 5 new countries can splinter out of Nigeria and become free countries that are independent. This might be the best solution since the people of Nigeria are never the same people.

Very good observations. These too could happen

The Miyetti Allah Fulani Group will use The Military to ease Buhari out in the same way Abacha and Buhari eased Shagari out in 1984.

Part of the games played yesterday.

There is no clear video of shooting at the crowd (the only video I saw of soldiers apparently shooting was a doctored one. On closer look, you will see that the soldiers in the video were not even shooting. and it appears that the shooting sounds were dubbed in, and the muzzle flashes were game show flashes and TOO FAR away to have been from those soldiers we were looking at . LOOK DISAPPASSIONATEY before you crucify me please. Even the crowd in front of those soldiers were NOT even running AWAY. They look like they were just standing and talking to the soldiers even as we hearing loud gunshots and seeing muzzle flashes that appeared in the clouds like a BAD Nollywood film. LOOK!

There was a video of someone whose brains were spilled on the floor, but everyone knows bullets do not scoop up the brain and deposit it almost intact 10 feet away. THAT CANNOT BE A BULLET SHOT UNLESS HE WAS SHOT WITH A CANNON. Even the conversation by those around the body suggests it was some kind of accident that just happened and not soldier shooting. Watch it again and pay attention.

There were videos with lots of shooting, but I don’t see any falling bodies. How realistic is that if indeed the soldiers were shooting INTO the crowd?

-We have started seeing videos of people that all of us were made to believe were shot and killed in the Lekki incident coming out and saying they were not even there (Eniola Badmus is one of such. The poor girl as overwhelmed with people already taking wreaths and candles to her house in mourning . Yet, she said she never even went out that day. What?)

I also watched the Adeola show on Sahara Reporters she made a lot of allegations but no evidence. She even claimed people were using Chelsea drink and alcohol to remove bullets from dead people, but she laughably claimed she cannot show us the vide evidence becos according to her, YouTube will flag it? Really ? Can anyone really believe that Sahara reporters would be shy about showing pictures or videos of carnage by this govt? that’s another reason I knew them something else is going on here and we are being manipulated by someone or some people to go to war. It’s almost the kind of fake proof Bush gave of ‘discovering weapons of mass destruction in Iraq’ that they used as excuse to take USA to war and cost lives of 1,000s of American lives. WE MUST LOOK WELL BEFORE WE CONCLUDE THIS WAS INDEED A MASSACRE

Beware southerners. This is the time to know and understand the true identity of those who cause tribalism on here, they are payed agents, they are neither from east or west. They have more than twenty accounts, they would create tribal topics and make tribal comments with another accounts to cause chaos between southerners. Though, they have no conscience but you can try to educate them or better ignore them. They are easy to identify, use your head brothers.

Also Be aware that tactics and plans has been deployed to cover up the massacre since all their efforts to break southern unity were not fruitful. one of them is to post pictures or video of people who debunked being killed, those pictures were scripted and earlier been circulated for this purpose. They would discredit real occurrence and give it another title.

We would just be exchanging devils for our own picked demons in every scenario.

The military takes over, would they fight corruption or eliminate the bad eggs?

Mass resignation? Lol

The people wins, then anarchy begins. Read about the French revolution where the victors became worse than what they fighting against.
Don't even mention the current ones pushing for revolution, they are worse.

Nigeria splinters, to the joy of the foreign wolves. Time to activate DRC templates.

All boils down to installing a Genuine leader & we'll know from our local, school, church, mosque etc elections, that it is almost near impossible. The wrong empty eloquent one always get the election. And again the leaders are drawn from the people. Who are the nigerians?

One more scenario....

Youths arm themselves and many rebel groups are formed and since this protest has no leaders, we turn into Libya or Syria where all the rebel groups start battling each other for resource control and territory, while battling the government too
