If American election are anything to go by, I wouldn't count on Mr. Biden to rejoice yet. Just like OP right posited with the example of 2015, Democrats know that they do need to win the Electoral College at the end of the day.
And just like in 2015, I daresay that States such as Florida, Ohio, Arizona, North Carolina, Virginia will decide who becomes the next POTUS.
