Yoruba movies, you say?
I'm not a big fan of them. The "poshified" and stripped, plotless ones we have nowadays.

...but I googled the movie now - and it fall under those I give exception to. The village-themed kinds with spiritual concepts, traditions and revolving around kingdoms.

(It seems deep. And 'Tunde Kelani' is not a name I've heard around me much I fear. )

But I kind of get the connection now, . A battle for the throne {among heirs}. Just like we have two Obas fighting for a Staff now, huh?

It actually is a deep movie. One of the best indigenous yoruba movies made.You should see it.
Tunde is like the Clarence peters of Yoruba movies.produces/directs mostly classics.
Poshified movies..poshified generation. Let's see how the lagoon king gets back his staff.

The staff of office of the Lagos monarch, Oba Rilwan Akilu, reportedly carted away by suspected hoodlums who invaded the place in the wake of the EndSARS protesters has been recovered.

Recall the staff of the office was taken away by one of the hoodlums as they destroyed the Iga Idungaran Palace of the Oba, turning the place upside down and carting away valuable things including money.

OBSERVERS TIMES earlier reported that the hoodlum who took away the staff was seen on camera displaying the insignia of office of the traditional ruler with relish.

Source said the Ogboni cult had retrieved the staff of office and the young man who took it away died mysteriously.

According to an unidentified man who gave his name as Agboola Kotun, the young man died mysteriously.
