if firmly and rigorously believe that forming a new anti crime unit in nigeria is a complete exhibition of pack of ideas and gross mismanagement of police funds by the Nigerian police and a looting avenue by the government

WHY ANTI CRIME SQUADS ARE UNNECESSARY

we already have more than 300,000 police men in Nigeria,these men are very effective and more than enough to police Nigeria effectively if not for gross incompetence and corruption exhibited by the police hiaracy.The Nigerian police already have thousands of it's personnel(Mopol) acting as private security to politicians,bussiness men,aides to rich CEOs and so forth.

Nigerian policemen need to stop acting as security men to private citizens and government officers and report to their various stations doing their jobs.The NSCDC needs to do the job of private security roles, they had already failed in preventing pipe line vandalism.

The mobile police force is more than enough to secure Nigeria,it's not by the numbers but quality and efficiency.training and equipping a special unit requires special funds and other logistics.A Nation like Nigeria police doesn't need that,what our police need is professional reorientation,body cameras,new equipment and logistics,access to drones for rapid crime scene surveillance and crowd control equipment infact all police stations should be able to handle mob and violent situations with waiting for the IG to deploy anti riot squads

all this present tactical squads including swat,Antiriot Squad are totally unnecessary uncalled for and should be scrapped.
