Osogbo is peaceful and very lively, electricity is constant.... Many places to visit if you are bored. Banies plenty there. House is cheap, from 48k upward depending on your taste. The weather is average, no too much cold or sun. I will chose osogbo over any other town.

I can't seem to find big markets here just like we have in Portharcourt. The markets in Oshogbo are mostly on the roadside. It's not really easy trying adapt to this place

Asides local farm produce which I'm yet to buy, things seems to more expensive here than in Portharcourt. The price of a 6kg gas cylinder is sold here for atleast 13,500 NGN that's the least price I have seen. The same cylinder costs for 11,000 in Portharcourt.

The loaf of bread sold here for #800 goes for #700 in Portharcourt as at the time of this writing.

Clothes are more expensive here than in Portharcourt (not boutique clothes)

A bag of sachet water sold for #150 in Portharcourt goes for #170 - 200 here in Oshogbo.

Every writeup here is based on facts and not assumption.

I have only spent four days in Oshogbo since I left portharcourt

House rent here is cheap for real. A single room of 4k/month here is really big, even little bigger than our palour in Portharcourt.

The power supply here is more stable than what we have in Portharcourt, but not as stable as what I had read earlier on nairaland concerning this place before I relocated.

 Am laughing right now

Things ain't cheap over here except the imported stuff and that is if you are close to the port e.g ajegunle, mile 2, ijora etc

Abeg find money start biz for there buy your stuff in lag take it to other state

That's is the trick

If you live and trade here that your profit will get swallowed

My opinion though

Re: Should I Relocate To JOS Or OSHOGBO??? by rainlover(m): 2:24pm On Oct 17, 2021
The power supply in Oshogbo is really Good, even far better than portharcourt. I'm even thinking of what to to with this stable power supply.

I quest it's a good time to start a blog or maybe a YouTube channel. That would be stressful though..

But I really think this place would be a good place for freelancers

The social life in Oshogbo is just average. There are no too many places to visit.

I live in the heart of the town cos my lodge is just along the road, just 3-7 minutes walk away from the Osun mall. There are More than 5 commercial banks banks along the road and I think it's the most busy place here that I know
