A very close friend of mine recently tested positive to the dreaded virus, and I was so dumbfounded because i would never have suspected that person. I myself have not done the test for sometime now. I can't even begin to imagine what I'll do if I test positive. (GOD FORBID!!)

I'm wondering how long it will be before scientists finally find a cure to this catastrophe. I sincerely pray it is soon

Others claim a cure has been found but its been kept secret.

someone [i]has [/i]been cured ie HIV positive before and now HIV negative. this was officially verified by respectable scientific community and not like the charlatans we see in these parts that are fund of making obnoxoius claims

I don't have time to go into the details, but the summary of it is that the person received a blood transfusion from someone who was known to be resistant to the virus, and that somehow made the virus incapable of replicating within the person who had been infected, and after some time he was declared to be cured. research is still going on to see the prospects of this method.
