Lagos state is usually a well organized machine structured in a way that Asiwaju and his most loyal generals control who ever gets contracts or who ever becomes politically relevant. The two major groups are mandate and justice forum, with ideal and some other groups functioning in their respective local governments. Mandate is Asiwaju's group with Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as the defacto number 2, their members include Gov Sanwo-olu, Speaker Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, Sen. Solomon Olamilekan Adeola(Yayi) lagos west, Sen. Remi Tinubu lagos central, Tayo Ayinde Chief of Staff, Head of service Hakeem Muriokunola, some commissioners, chairmen local government and host of others. While Ex Gov. Fashola and the Deputy Governor Hamzat are members of justice forum, Baba Olusi who is the senatorial leader and Chairman of the Governors Advisory Council is also a member of justice forum. Justice forum also has many political office holders and juggernauts in its ranks.

The real problem is that the mandate group have been having internal crisis that's why Asiwaju and the political leaders in the state decided to do away with political groups and function as one apc. Ever since Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola became interior minister his political stock has improved and he feels that as a former commissioner of works, former governor of Osun and a current minister he can no longer function as somebody's number 2. He was also not happy at the utterances of Gov Oyetola of Osun state who happens to be asiwaju's first cousin. Aregbesola feels Oyetola is trying to erase his legacies and is blaming him for everything going wrong with his government. He felt that he handed over to oyetola
at the request of asiwaju and that oyetola was only acting out a script handed to him by tinubu.

There is a hidden rumour that Aregbesola also wants to run for president and the north see him as the only person that can fight and bring asiwaju to his knee due to his closeness and knowledge of the inner workings of their caucus. El-Rufai also came to lagos to felicitate with Aregbesola on his birthday and still used the occasion to let every know him and asiwaju are not on the same page but Aregbesola is his very good friend. He said the free food initiative he is using in kaduna was the model he copied from Aregbesola when he was governor of Osun state. Aregbesola is the leader of lagos west senatorial district which is the biggest in lagos and is the senatorial district with the highest votes. Aregbesola and Asiwaju built the mandate group together from scratch, so Aregbesola has his own loyalist who currently have portfolios within lagos state in the assembly, as commissioners, chairmen and councilors. As of today the Senator representing lagos west Sen. Solomon Olamilekan Adeola and the Chief of Staff to Gov Sanwo-Olu MrTayo Ayinde are also his hard core loyalist who are in the system.

With the apc congress coming soon to determine who would be their national chairman, state chairman and party exco's, the Aregbesola group and other aggrieved members were looking for the best time to strike and the ENDsars movement gave them their perfect cover. To first fight Asiwaju you have affect his money, demystify the notion that he is untouchable in lagos and work up people's sentiment against him.

Firstly, when this ENDsars movement started i was wondering why everyone were focusing on the lekki tollgate because it did not make sense to me. If you live in the lekki axis I could understand you not liking the structure because of the money you pay everyday but people on the mainland and people from other states started to come there. I am of the impression that, it is only the federal government and the IG of police that can end SARS so why lekki tollgate. Apapa local government is the heart beat of Nigeria and that is where the ports are located. This is where everything comes in and goes out, oil goes out fuel comes in, food, services and it is where the federal government makes most of its revenue and foreign currency. Since we needed the federal government to listen to us, why did we not go there and make it command central.

It only goes to show we are just disposable pawns in their chess game. Some youths lost their lives to fulfill their political aspirations and tantrums. Aregbesola is the minister of interior, under his ministry you have the police, efcc, civil defence, man o war, customs, all para military institutions and other institutions. They say their is intel before certain situations evolve, what is the use of having civil defence or man o war if you will not use them during civil matters when you know your police force are incapacitated at the moment. Aregbesola is in charge of the internal security in Nigeria and he did not do a good job. In his home state Gov Oyetola that he has issues with was almost lynched in Osun, and Lagos state his second home was turned to the wild wild west by touts and nurtw hooligans.

The Nurtw was also used as a willing tool in this matter, While the current Chairman NURTW Mc Oluomo is loyal to Asiwaju, Olorunwa the former
Nurtw chairman under fashola's reign as governor is loyal to aregbesola. Even when mc was still lobbying to become nurtw chairman, aregbesola refused to endorse mc and openly showed his preference for Olorunwa. It took asiwaju's open endorsement for mc to scale through. Most of those hooligans you saw destroying property were Nurtw members who were loyal to Olorunwa and the immediate pass Nurtw chairman Agbede who felt they had been side lined by Mc Oluomo. Peaceful protesters can not suddenly start to destroy property and kill policemen. Do you want to tell me people living in those areas don't know the people committing those atrocities in their area. How many yellow buses, okadas and maruwa's were destroyed, not even one. The police support the NURTW union members in power that's the reason other factions see's them as their enemy.

After the killings in lekki, things got crazy and a lot of things got out of hand. People were looking for anything Tinubu to destroy, houses, property, associates and family members. Chairmen and councilors ran for safety, some local councils got burnt, property belonging to public officials destroyed and looted. In surulere they burnt sanwo-olu's moms house, went to the speakers house femi gbajabiamila' broke his window and they tried to burn the house if not that boys within the area resisted the house would have been burnt to ashes. People came from lawanson
which happens to be the stronghold of Olorunwa the former NURTW under fashola who was branch chairman in lawanson to burn down sanwo-olu's moms house and tried to burn down the current speakers residence. But no attempt was made to vandalize fashola's residence which also is within the same vicinity. It is no longer news that lagosians also don't like Aregbesola because they see him as an Osun man controlling them in lagos. So i am confused that nobody attempted to go after his property and his name has not been mentioned at all. The Oba of lagos is not a honourable man but you have to think of the forces at play for those youths to have the mind to access and loot the palace.

The youths were trying to have their say and speak on their grievancies, but the politicians were teleguiding who, where and when to score political cheap shots because of 2023. The youths should open their eyes and be wary of these politicians because with a voice as loud and potent as theirs, many judas's will be put in their mist to hijack the cause.

But forget it tinubu and aregbesola are die hard loyalist to each others

Their disagreement will always end on the dinning table not a public space

PDP are trying so hard to bring tinubu and APC down in Lagos state

Efcc is under the ministry of internal of internal affairs. Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is the minister of Internal affairs. All of a sudden as apc congress nears they invite the lagos speaker obasa and former IRS boss Fowler. With Alpha beta matter loading very soon only an insider has the information to cripple the structure. Who is more inside than Aregbesola

Pdp does not have the political will to win the guber elections if it was the only party on the ballot boxes. Their crisis is too much and Bode George will never allow it, unless it is his son on the ballot.

Aregbesola is really a trickster. Minister of interior cannot claim not to know what happened in Lagos. Now the dots are connecting.

I bet Tinubu attack dogs and BMC didn’t see this coming. To even think they rushed to blame IPOB for the destruction in Lagos is quite a shame to their political sophistication. Only an insider can pull this job, and that person is not far from a Tinubu’s right hand man.

In every thread you comment on NAIRALAND you must always find a way of casting aspersions at Igbos, "who did this to you"?

Even Obj a former president does not control what Tinubu is controlling in the whole of the South West. In fact, he fought OBJ for the entire 8 yesrs of their times in office as president and governor. Since when did being a military man translate to having power?

Money is what runs the world, man. And Tinubu has money; lots and lots of it. Moreover, Bode George was former military governor of Lagos state, while Tinubu was governor in more recent times for 8 years and in a democracy. Only his boys are placed in positions of power and they are loyal to him. Bode George doesn't have such structure so he can only complain. In fact the only thing stopping him from being dealt with or even getting killed is his military background.
