Good day esteemed Nairalanders, this question has been disturbing me for a while. And now that I'm drafting what is more or less an organisational policy on employment I wish to know if its good to allow two relations( husband and wife, brothers, sisters, father and son, uncle, niece, etc) to work in one organisation?

I understand that some organisations allows it while on the other hand, some organisations frowns at it. For example, I remember during my stint in a Nigerian bank some persons had to resign because they were going to marry a colleague. And also, I know some organisations would ask you while applying for a job if you have a relative in the organisation and even going further in asking to mention the staff name and contact details.

Please, HR experts and experienced entrepreneurs, what's your take on this issue?
I need to understand the reasons some organisations don't accept it and the reasons some organisations accepts it.

For your business to grow you need strangers... family and blood related can ruin your business, you will take your job seriously when your boss is non related and strict unlike my husband is the manager nothing will happen money will continue missing so as for me I rather work with strangers.
