The inspector general of police, Mohammed Adamu has assured the families of officers who lost their lives or were injured during the nationwide #EndSars protest,of the decision to compensate them.

Adamu also stated that the government will increase the salaries of officers nationwide,so as to aid in the effective discharge of their duties.

The IGP made this known after inspecting some of the burnt police stations and visiting some of the injured officers, currently admitted at the University of Benin teaching hospital.

He also went ahead to commend men of the force for the restraint shown, during the protest.
