My Girlfriend Is Pregnant And refuses to tell her parents. Am I Safe? by RevoLutionMedia: 8:42am On Nov 07, 2020
please I need advice. my name is John Enoh, I'm from Cross River State. My girlfriend is an Akwa Ibom lady. we started dating Early this year and she took in for me. I told my family about her but she hasn't told her people about me. reasons being that, she got pregnant before for her ex and although she lost the pregnancy, her dad vowed not to train her again despite pleas from family and friends. when she miscarried the pregnancy, he dad decided that she must start her University degree afresh as punishment for getting pregnant out of wedlock. she was already in final year and had written her final exam when this happened.

Her mother is late. she passed on at childbirth. she was raised by a single dad who later remarried. She got admission to start again in UNICAL and that's how we met. now she's pregnant again and has refused to let her dad or her people know because of what happened the last Time she took in.

on the other hand, my family has decided to hands off, due to the fact that her people are not aware so they can't get involved either until things are done properly. she's 6 months pregnant and I'm scared. nobody in her family knows about the pregnancy cos she's hiding it from them. I have told her and pleaded with her on several occasions to at least inform her dad so whatever the Akwa Ibom tradition demands, I could start working towards it.

I'd like to know what her tradition demands and what exactly I'm to face when her family finds out because they will sooner or later. she Said she wants to hide the pregnancy and the baby from her dad until she completes her education because if he finds out, she might drop out of school and her education will be terminated.

please I need advice on how to Best handle the situation. should I call her dad and inform him? I feel she should be the bearer of that information not me. what if something happens to her during labour? I'm not praying for anything negative, I'm just worried.

mods please help move to front page. I need advice.

Is the dad not to blame here? In fact, the 'Dad' title has to be withdrawn from this yeye man. You for allow the girl graduate, serve, marry and fvck in peace. Now see what his stupid decision has caused. Giving the girl another 4 years opportunity to fvck around in the university again

Let her keep her pregnancy and the baby till she's certain about disclosing it to her family. On your own part, please learn to work hard so as to prepare for the eventualities.
I've been in your shoes and I pulled through by God's grace. It wasn't easy though but today I'm a happy person.

That s exactly her reason for hiding the pregnancy from him. I don't want her to abort it no matter what. She wants to keep it too. I'm just concerned and very worried about the aftermath because he'll still have to know someday.

I currently don't have a job but I'm a graduate and I served in 2016. Was about concluding my Masters program before the whole covid 19 thing came on board. I'm currently running a Small business while still searching for a job and I'm doing my best to make sure the baby and mother are in good condition. I pray it all ends well for me like yours did

What is she hiding? You said she has graduated already and written her final paper,so, what is there?

Let her inform her dad, worst that will happen is for her dad to stop giving her money. You take over from there and take responsibility as a man.if she doesn't have that courage to tell her dad, collect the man's number and call him, inform him and fix a date to meet.

I was in your shoe too, that was what I did, I called her parents and notified them, and surprisingly, they weren't offended. Her mother told me that the fact that I summoned that courage to tell means that I am a responsible man,and capable to handle the responsibility.

Thank you brother. But what I wrote was that she didn't finish her education. Rather her dad decided she'll start afresh from year 1 in a different University. She had to abandone her program to start again. That's why she's afraid to tell him because he gave her a second chance to start again as punishment rather than allow her graduate with her peers. I would have loved to call the dad like you said but I'm not very stable financially to take over the responsibility of training her in school. And that's y I'm desperately searching for a job with my qualifications.

is still doesn't make any difference bro. Be honourable enough to call her dad, the deed has been done, and there has to be consequences but man up to embrace the consequences even if it is her dropping out of school, she can go back at the appropriate time.

When mine happened, I had no job and struggling to even feed myself, she was the one feeding me as of then because she was doing a little job then before she got pregnant. But I had to dare the odd ,and faced it squared on for the challenge. To God be the glory, it wasn't quite smooth but it didn't end in shame
