China has successfully launched the world's first 6G satellite into space to test the technology. It went into orbit along with 12 other satellites from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in the Shanxi Province. High-speed technology will be trialled, which will be one of the core elements of sixth-generation communications. The satellite also carries technology which will be used for crop disaster monitoring and forest fire prevention. Oh goodness. Some are still arguing speculatively about 5G. Most countries havnt even made up their minds whom to award the 5G contract and these ones are already testing 6G. kulobyno: The interesting thing is that they don't make noise about their feats. You just wake up one day and see them with new achievement. The only challenge the Chinese has presently is achieving self sufficiency in cutting edge semi conductor design and manufacturing. Trump has forced them to look inwards for their own chips by several sanctions without knowing that he's putting US chip business in danger. My reason is not far fetched. China imports more than 300 billion dollars worth of chips from the US every year. Who would the US manufacturers sell the chips to now that a Trump is prohibiting the sales. 1 Like |
