That was then when Men were MEN and Women were WOMEN. Now, everyone wants to be playing each other's role and be demanding equality instead of equity.

There is a reason your mom is called your dad's wife.
Let's just say all what you mentioned was your dad's responsibilities. If he didn't have at the time, and your mum had, would she not save both of them the SHAME, DISGRACE accompanying his inability to pay, let's say your school fees, house rent given she had?
Would your dad in his right mind refuse to do all those things if he had the money, even with his Ego at stake? Haba! (We have some exceptions though )

Pls, don't make me believe your way of reasoning is a painted picture of what went on in your home cos ladies, most especially don't know they indirectly TELL OUT what goes on in their life without really knowing.

I heard of a woman who got sick and died.
The sad story was that she had money to treat herself but remained adamant, insisting her husband must be the one to pay the bill bcus the last bill she paid, her husband was yet to return it. She released the money but it was already late.

Do you know that in a pride of lion, it's the lionesses (females) that hunt for food? If so, find out yourself why at some points do the lions(males) ASSIST the females in hunting?
