I did not misunderstand the post. I did not imply that they banned women (with a male partner) from entry.

So, my question is, since you and I know that men are almost always involved in bank robbery, do we now call for laws to ban men from entering banks alone?

He got scared. I'm not sure you are aware that this lady could sue the hotel. He called because he knew that he and his boys were wrong. Kindly refer to the report where the director allegedly said the policy was misunderstood by his workers.

I got this from the original text:

"The Commission added that it "rejects any discrimination or stereotyping on account of race, gender, social class, or any other protected ground, and will subject any perpetrator to the fullest weight of the law.""

I hope you see things differently now.

Laws to ban men?? but there are already unwritten rules to scrutinize men before entering the banks due to their high security risk.

Lets be factual here, she wasn't banned

I hope the eat place is not owned by Asians? It is absolute nonsense to have a eat place for men only. How i wish people will boycott the rotten eating place. May they never have a living mother.

It appears you did not follow the news.

She went to the said hotel but was asked out BECAUSE SHE WAS ALONE. In other words, women/females/ladies are BANNED from using that facility unless in male custody. Grab?

My brother, men are searched the same way as women before going into banks. No special treatment.

I believe I've been able to make you see reasons differently. Please go on and pass the message, we must begin to treat our ladies DIFFERENTLY.

It is not a hotel but a restaurant

Stop twisting the story, Single ladies aren't banned from the restaurant, i actually followed the complaints and this is what happened, apparently, she might have been denied access to the restaurant because she didn't wear her face mask on

The said restaurant is an Indian restaurant located in Ikeja

From the compliant, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission sent their undercover agent to the restaurant and this is what happened.

Between the restaurant’s opening time 0f 11:00 A.M and 1:30 PM on Monday, November 9, the Commission conducted surveillance and monitoring at the location, including attempted patronage by an undercover lone female operative of the Commission. The operative was only engaged to ensure proper face covering to gain access, and there were other lone female patrons in the restaurant.

Further investigations by the Commission included engaging security, service personnel and senior management of the restaurant. The proprietor admits that approximately 30 days ago, it implemented a new access control policy to promote social distancing in accordance with prevailing COVID-19 management protocols, but denies such policy was targeted at, or to deny access to lone female patrons.

The said victim must have escalated the issue on the basis of gender discrimination for public sympathy.

There was no prove of gender discrimination at the said restaurant

... To think that a lot of women were carrying ENDSARS placards fighting for the rights of these same men who sit on Nairaland to type trash about them.

You all deserve to be profiled, extorted and shot by SARS. *spits*

Not only women carried placards but men too and nobody asked them to fight for any man, they did it because it looks cool and also because of mob psychology.

The idea that some people are out fighting for others is strange, it is kinda of a savior complex. We didn't employ them to fight for us neither are they our spokeman.

I think some women go there for prostitution that is why they brought that rules. The owners are scared that prostitution can tarnish their brand name

Infact even in the front of oriental hotel, you see women doing prostitution, that is how they diminish the exclusivity of the hotel
Yes, and during the time of apartheid, I guess black people go to shops to steal that is why they were not allowed to sit in these restaurants.
