Its a wonderful Monday afternoon and thanks be to God who has kept us alive in the land of the living. I created this post for young men, young women, fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters who are tired of not receiving enough income to meet their needs (for those who have jobs) and those who do not have jobs at all but are ready to stop their money worries.

First of all, I will address some of the attitudes/ habits that can make you poor even if you don't want or plan to be poor, then I will tell you some present day high income digital skills that are paying handsomely and has taken people out of poverty.

Number 1 problem is having no financial education : Financial education or literacy endows you with skills that enable you make smart decisions about your money. It teaches you how to manage the little money you have now so that it can bring in more money instead of losses. Simple but essential things like knowing how to save, budget and how to invest are elements of financial literacy. Lack of financial education will definitely lead to money woes and financial stress. The second bad habit is Procrastination!! "The spirit of Procrastination is within all Men. We desire riches yet that spirit of procrastination from within doth urge various delays in our acceptance, in listening to it we do become our own worst enemy" - George Clason. While this is a common trait, it is and can be detrimental to your financial life. You procrastinate when to start saving, when to cut down on your expenses, when to pay your debt, when to invest etc and that is how you keep delaying your money breakthrough. Three helpful tips to deal with procrastination are a) Make a public declaration of that financial step you want to take to someone you are accountable to, it could be your mother, your partner, spouse or a mentor. It will help you keep to your pledge.
(b) Keep a spreadsheet record of every financial move you have decided to take, and always record it with positive mark. You will feel bad to stain your record with a negative mark.
(c) Reward yourself whenever you do something you said you will do, maybe you saved, paid a debt or learnt a financial skill. You should reward yourself with a little treat. Maybe buy yourself a plate of peppersoup or some nice drink. I am giving food examples because I like food

The third and most common is refusing to take action while believing that something will happen. Sorry to burst your bubble, nothing will happen! You will pray till tomorrow, shout Amen, post scriptures and tire, there has to be a channel that the blessing will flow through, even if it's akara you're frying.
