Some years ago I would have told you to choose biz in Nigeria... But pls, for the sake of your son - RELOCATE!!!
You can come back alone later to stay your business in Nigeria. Thanks as you consider your future generation grin

Whatever you are doing in Nigeria that earned you that house, car and 3m in your bank account..keep doing it and grow bigger.

3M will take you no where near Canada.

Ask yourself what that 3 million exchanges to dollars today? If you can afford to travel the right way, please do. Also note that decision to travel abroad shouldn't be based solely on money. Consider the quality of life, and an organized future for your next generation amongst other things.

I have never been to Canada so my advice may be a lil sentimental... If I'm in your shoes then I think the option to relocate my family to Canada would be one best life assurance I'm gifting my kids. I believe their live including mine is secure to some extent as per enjoying life value.

I see you're doing well here no doubt but what matter most is can you still maintain that level enough to secure a good future for you family in years to come? Nigeria is on a roller coaster and no one is certain of what's about to happen in next min. The government might wake up one day and say the land you build your house on is government railway property and your house would be demolished! YES it does happen here in Nigeria even though you have the papers to it. And some family members or even hoodlums might wake up and see you as a sudden threat and began to ploit to loot your business and rob off what you've labour for without notice. What then would be the future of those kids? Poor educational system and they would probably have their mentality channel to getting money either by crook or hook to become relevant in society.

If you have a sure link to Canada then that's your best bet...or may be you should just stay here and let them go

Why not relocate first before taking family with you? Having a family most times slows one down when thinking of taking a bold step such as yours. So please don't be in a hurry sit down do your homework and add if u can another 3m to the amount you have which will go along way.

Your BRAIN is ladened with Wisdom.
People think everything is about money.
I left a well paying job and ran out of Naija, simply because ARMED ROBBERS from different walks of life made me their shoprite.
That's why I support any reasonable relocation.
Since then I sleep with my 2 eyes closed and padded.

Kindly put all your resources together and move to Canada, though I understand you'll need more funds, but I believe you can achieve it.

Considering the recent happenings in Nigeria now, I don't think its the best place to stay.

Kindly consider the life you'll have in a sane environment with your family, please give your children and the coming generation a better life.

If things were going well in naija you wouldn't be here asking this question. People who live in Canada don't come and ask if they should migrate to naija. You People need to stop these "should I go or not" thread. We all know you'll be going. Sars and the military are killing their citizens. This man is worried about starting a business. The kids who got killed at Lekki doesn't make you fear that could have been your kid ?

Why can't you start this business in Canada? You'll even have more resources and a bigger market. Starting a business is simply a code word for saying i have no real job prospect in Nigeria.

There are different ROUTES to that.
1st is ensuring that TRUMP hands over to BIDEN..
2nd is ensuring the First occurs.

@OP... N3million is approx £6000. Plus you live in your own house. You've not done too bad for yourself. But your post isn't detailed enough.
What business do you intend to start and with the current clime in Nigeria, what are the odds of you making a success out of it?

Just so you know, £6000 isn't enough to sustain you and your family should you choose to migrate, so you may have to go alone first and bring your wife and kid later... But PLEASE whatever you do, do not, I repeat, DO NOT sell your house to raise money to move abroad.

First thing first, would you like to sit back here and regret not ever making this life changing choice of relocating?

Or

Give yourself a pat at the back for a well deserved choice of relocating?

Everything has it pros and con but like write up,you have experienced Nigeria's pro and con.

Take that leap of faith and relocate(Do it legally..E get why).

Do more research on your choice, ask expert around(People are will to help if you ask the right question),Increase your fund and voila start a new dream smiley

Secure you and family future in a system working environment..Don't listen to negative comment.Even the rich and wealthy people in Nigeria have another passport in case of wahala.

It will end in praise

The opportunity to go to Canada may not be there in the future. You can establish a successful business (or several) in Nigeria pretty much any time in the future, especially with the strength of the Canadian dollar.

I say do both. Doesn't hurt to be financially secure in two countries. Get a boat and beach house. Do it big. You'll be like this with wifey when you vacay back home:
