*The most hopeful people on the Planet

Even after His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri and his deputy were sworn in, suprisingly many APC supporters still believed they would be evicted and Chief David Lyon and his deputy would be sworn in in their stead.

They hinged their hopes on prophecies from 'men of God' like Prophet T. B. Joshua and Apostle Johnson Suleiman. After which they further hindged their hopes on the numerous court cases.

Even today, almost ten months after, we still find a few persons claiming that their stolen mandate would be restored. How?

Isn't there a point in all of this where people come to terms with reality and choose to move on?

Lets fast forward to today. The APC Bayelsa West Senatorial Candidate, Chief Peremobowei Ebebi has been disqualified by the high court in Bayelsa and INEC has equally announced that the APC logo based on the judgement of the courts disqualifying the APC candidate, will be removed from the ballot for Bayelsa West Senatorial district.
Yet, we see this disqualified candidate campaigning as though nothing has happened and you find people following. Is this just how politics is or madness? What could be responsible for this attitude?
What have these people been told and what do they believe?

Is it also possible that these politicians are taking advantage of the people's helplessness and gullibility?

It is all over the media that Chief Ebebi has two and a half credentials (whatever that means). Besides this, a fault was discovered in his voters card which had conflicting dates of birth with his sworn affidafit and then it was also affirmed by the high court that Ebebi as a candidate, did not emerge through a legitimate primaries and as such disqualified.

For all the above information to be in the public domain yet people are still following this candidate is a wonder.

Some may say its love abd loyalty. If its love, it must be really blind and if its loyalty, it must really be foolish.

These Bayelsans may just be 'the most hopeful people in the planet'.
