So IPOB that the Nigerian government called a terrorist group decided to go and bomb an empty church at night? The people who did the bombing did so because they were promised positions when Biafra is achieved?


Even if this story were true, it is an act of criminality not terrorism. The motivation behind terrorism is a political or religious ideology. When the motivation becomes personal gain such as money or position, it is criminality.

The hallmark of terrorist groups is the killing of people. Blowing up an empty building is hardly that. The people who did this did not do it because of the ideology of Biafra, they did it for personal gain. It is the same as promising someone money to go and destroy a building, it is a crime, but it is not terrorism.
