PHP from back in the day, and still stuck with it up till now. It was very easy and fun to learn. I never really got deep cos I got introduced to CMSes which distracted me from learning deeply as I began to learn to build sites using CMSes than continuing to learn how to create the CMSes themselves. This is one 'bad' thing CMSes have done to many of us that ordinarily would have been badass programmers today. But now with the need to contribute back to the opensource CMSes, I have found again the need to keep learning PHP. PHP has so much evolved and with PHP 7 introducing object oriented programming there are lots of learning and relearning to do. PHP 8 got released few days back and again, new features were introduced again. Another language I am fascinated about is JavaScript because it has gotten so popular but as a businessman I can only learn as much as time permits cos I need to run the enterprise at the same time. |

QBasic back in the days of the ZX Sinclair and the BBC Micro. Saved code on radio cassette tapes and connected the keyboard/system unit to the TV. The new Raspberry Pi all-in-one takes me back to those days |
