They didn't buy votes jare. If BOG lost, its because voters don't realize that they only win if come out and vote. When people are using voter apathy as a means of telling their government they tired of them, they voters are only doing their selves a great disservice. With my experiences on electoral processes at the polling unit, the only way out is to come out and vote and vote overwhelmingly.

When you don't vote, you already giving the ruling party the edge cos that opens the process manipulation and there is no how that they won't take advantage of that. They are the present power and can use that to manipulate elections in favor of their candidate...

It is simple. When you have a thousand eligible voters and only 10% came to vote and even the 10% didn't even stay back to make sure that their votes are not being rendered void and null, you already telling the ruling party who has the resources to manipulate elections that he has 90% population to work with and out of that 90%, he just need to buy at least 40% more that are in his favour. That is when you see them take ballot papers to one corner to start mass thumb printing or better still, buy voters card and settle the electoral officers and bring your people to start voting using the bought PVCs. These are things have witnessed.

So of course, he was rigged but as a result of people's lack of understand that no voting is not doing anything and for me, it only implies one thing, this country is not ready for any serious development and this is born out of penury and mediocrity of the mind, believing a lie that your vote can never count. Irrespective of the outcome in the States, one thing was sure, everybody came out to express their pleasure or displeasure in the millions. I don't take anybody serious in this country. From the leaders to the citizens. Even more is that most of the citizens are very foolish.

Quite unfortunate for this country and its people that they prefer begging than demanding for what is their rights.

We dey always talk am Lagos is a state ruled by intellectuals Lagos no be Edo where both present and past Governor bin dey drag certificate issue...gringrin To rule in Lagos you must have the brain. To be Lagos governor is like a President imagine governing 20million people that's almost like Ghana as a country.
Tokunbo Abiru (Harvard Business School) vs Gbadamosi (LASU Dropout)... When i saw his WAEC result I knew instantly he can't do anything. In other states with that Result he will be like the best candidate but not here at all... Lagos is ruled by technocrats and all our Governors are strong Intellectuals. gringringrin
So I will advise Gbadamosi to go back to school first maybe we will consider him
. Even if na LASU sandwich Certificate He must get one.

Voters apathy signify a general lack of faith in the system. The youth already dont see any credible alternative among the contestant, hence the abstinence. You can't blame the youth on this, it is a sign of failure of the ruling parties

Voter Apathy is due to I don't care attitude of Lagosians. Is the same happening in the North No. Here in Lagos the race to make ends meet has taken a toll on us even PVC are collected due to bank and visa issues. Cutting off the head is not a solution to headache. Voting is still the only option for the youths to take control.

But sincerely the only way Youths can get it right is to use the platform of the APC and PDP and maintain you sanity and sanctity climb up party ranks and try to lead with good heart. But what do we get when the so-called youths get there they forget their humble beginnings which is typical of us as Nigerians we forget suffering so fast once everywhere don soft for us.

APC itself is dead. They bought 70% of the vote and use armed forces to get the 30. No one in their right mind will vote APC. Even those tribal bigots of Tinub's slaves. Dan kutumar ubanka ni er Fulani ce. Even we Northerners are done with APC and Buhari but those tribal bigots are still holding onto the sinking ship.
What are you saying ? The biggest tribal bigot here is Gbadamosi...Google what he said about Hausa's. Even a goat would have defeated him in that election

That is a complete lie. There is a credible candidate. BOG is credible. BOG will try way better than that Abiru person cos I know BOG won't want to squander the chance to reclaim Lagos from the stagnation we have had for 21yrs. Giving us piecemeal at snail's pace while enlarging that pockets at cheetah's pace. However, even if BOG i s not a credible person, there are other candidates there to choose from. Its not like that the credible person they looking for is from mars or nor living being. Na still person dem go vote for. However, when you have tried something and you begin to see that, that thing has outlived its usefulness, you change it and you don't do that by expecting miracles yo happen.

If people have lost faith in the systems or the process, not voting or doing anything will change anything cos the only way, only legitimate voice you have to make that change constitutionally is to vote and as many leaders keep disappointing, as many we must keep voting out till one deserves a second run. The solution is not in keeping silent or doing nothing but using the only voice you have to make the deepest impact.

If youths have lost hope and given up, they should just move out of the country cos as long they stay in the country they given up on, life will be unbearable for them continuously except they wake up and take charge.

Guess what? the restructuring issues is been blocked by almost all southern leaders. because it will not favor their corrupt ways. It's not between north and south, is between corrupt rich Nigerians and poor Nigerians

Is the winner not credible? Or you simply feel he should not be voted for because of hatred for his party? Elections should not be blind support like football fans supporting their clubs.

While it is not cast in stone that the winner will perform better than his main opponent, there is a greater chance that he will be better off because of his antecedents. He is well read and a top bank former executive, while the other could not even boast of a degree certificate.

You have a point by rhetorically asking if the other candidate isn't credible but we all know what that side look like. The other two senators, of what use have they been to the plight of lagosians?

Of what use is an average Nigerian politician?

There will be no magic bullet to Nigerias progess, it will be gradual at best, its leaders are a reflection of its followers, and we will in most cases have to choose a one eye man inlieu of a totally blind man to lead the blind.
