My own is my grandmother.The mother that gave birth to my father has not been seen since the Nigerian civil war days. My father told us that during the civil war, some women escaped from my village due to the fighting that took place in/near our village. My grandmother also escaped but has not been seen since then. We cannot determine what happened to her. I know for one that she is not alive since it is more than 50 years ago since she was last seen. There is no way she can still be alive.But we do not know what happened to her, how she died, where she died and where her corpse is. So many people disappeared in like manner and have not been seen since then. Sometime soldiers would come to a village and packed all women in the village. Some of them have not been seen since then. Also so many men escaped from war torn areas and their people have not so much as seen them again forever. Do you have any one who just disappeared and have not been seen since the civil war days? |
