It is supposedly the beauty standards,not low esteem as most people are talking here.
Most guys insulting them would still choose light skin girls despite knowing they bleached oo.(Hypocrites).

Moreover it is not a black thing, you would be surprised to hear that,Indians, Chinese,Koreans most Asians to be precise bleach alot, even more than Africans.

As it is in there beauty standards,being whiter makes you look Rich and beautiful to them,they prefer white as snow.They never even tan.

But one thing for sure is black is beautiful, you were created like that for a reason.
