I registered for NIN years ago and have misplaced the paper. Due to the current trend of linking of phone number to NIN , I thought of doing fresh registration but a friend of mine told me that it is a criminal offense.
Another issue I have is that the date of birth I used to register does not correspond with my credentials date of birth.
Please how can I retrieve my NIN without the phone number?
N/B I can't have access to the phone number I used to register the NIN.
And, can the date of birth in National Identify Management System be changed?
Please help

simply go to any NIMC office , and give them your details like your name etc they will help you retrieve the former one , you can't register twice , but you will pay some money .

Your DOB can be changed but it will also.cost you

You can't redo it. Probably your first registration wasn't properly done, the system will show that you have done it before.
My dad tried registering after an initial registration when people he knows that registered after him were getting the card while he is yet to get his, coupled with the fact that he has issue with the dob, in the process of trying to register again, the enrollment officer told him that he can't as his details are already captured.
He tried registering in a different state with the enrollment officer not even aware of an existing registration.

Op, go the bank you registered your BVN and ask for a printout of your BVN details, u will see your NIN there.
Go to NIMC office and do a change of date of birth.
Dont register again, you already have NIN

NIN is like Social Security Number. Do people have two social security numbers?

Who knows how much will it cost someone?
