Hi Nairalanders. This is my first thread ever and I will like you all to bear with me if it falls short of anything.
Okay, so we know how difficult it is getting a job in Nigeria, especially when you have to connections whatsoever. It's brutal!
Now getting a job interview invite might not be too exciting but we can't lie that it gives some kind of hope that your emails (hundreds and hundreds of them) haven't been hitting a wall; it just gives hope no matter what, even if it's not the real deal- a job!
Now these God forsaken scammers Cflead and Elyte group company have been sending me mails every day for the past 2weeks! This is separate from the many ones I've previously received from them. I would have fallen prey to their scammish interview if not for nairaland. Now there was one email they changed format. No more the role of "Business Development Associate " but a customer care rep role. If not for Google maps which showed me a Pythagoras college near the interview location and the similarity of their email style with the previous ones, I would have wasted my time, day, transport and all going to that place.
Because of them, I avoid any Business development roles for companies not on Google. But here's the worst part, I think they now give these online job recruitment sites different company names and job positions that seem genuine only for job seekers to apply and get their fake interview mails. I think this because this past week, I have been active in sending applications for roles and in this same past 2 weeks, they've been bombarding me with their emails.
These people are disguising and this is criminal of them. Who knows if they even kidnap people and sell human parts. Yes now. How can people be begging one so much to come for an interview? If it's working na people for dey rush them sef.
Who knows how we can stop them please. Like totally shut them down. I just pity the naive people who fall for them anytime they send a mail. But overall, I'm psychology being tormented about their existence and false hope they give to we job seekers.
Thanks

I doubt if that can be done because these people are registered.
