NIN is the handiwork of Goodluck Jonathan which the gullible and irresponsible ones give so many negative names...now they want to use it for their (APC) politics

Oga, things are not done this way.
I lived overseas once and got a phone and SIM too. You buy sim card from a shop, put into your phone then call customer service. They take all your details and that is it. Just that first day registration. They keep that your database and use it for everything that is bothering them.
You can't be disturbing subscribers 10 years after they get their SIM to come and que up and register again. That is plain stupidity and database carelessness on the part of the mobile operators.

They should automatically link NIN with phone numbers or do it within one year...you can't just impose a policy overnight undecided

Data capture for bvn data capture for voters card data capture for driver's license data capture for sim registration data capture for national identity number why is it so difficult to have a central data base in this the country what have there been doing with all the capture data the worst thing that can happen to any country is to have incompetent idiot as their leaders.

With the deadline announcement, how do they know those with or without NIN, and if they truly know all these why then imposing it on us when they have a strong database

I registered at a village I went to pay someone a visit 4 years ago. It was easy and very less stressful.

You mean you are giving a whole over 200 million Nigerians 6 weeks to register ,

Not 200 million. At least one quarter of that 200 million is less than 18 years ( I don't know the mandatory age for registration). Out of the remaining 140 million, NIMC said they have registered about 30 million since they started registration 7 years ago. That leaves the number yet to register at about 110 million. Let assume N100 million for sake being generous.

This simply means NIMC is required to register 100 Nigerians between now and February 9th 2021 ( 35 days excluding weekends), which translate to 2.85 million registrations every working day.

Being a Nigerian is stress itself!
I never thought of rushing to do this registration.
Still not considering doing it yet, because I can't compound my life with additional stress.

The few of us clamouring for an online registration process would continue doing so as much as we can, untill they listen to us.

...and if they don't¿
We'll register for it when we are stressed less.

Me too. I can't and won't be bothered until I get someone on the inside who will make things easy for me.

All their stupid policies are ever aimed at compounding the stress an average citizen passes through daily...

Smh undecided

We even have less than 19 days including weekends now.... Equals to mission impossible!

And the FG collects VAT on every call and transactions via the same lines everyday! They are simply going to cut the revenue by a large percentage.. Their eyes go soon clear now... Fools grin

Mr Overseas, you are not queuing to link your NIN with your sim card. Your service provider does that for free. For years it has been stress less getting your NIN but Nigerians like rush hour things. I knew that FG will extend it once the 30th December deadline was announced but if you don't do it this way people will not bother to register.
