GTB are idiots. How can they collect VAT on sms charges after collecting the over zealous charge on the sms already i didn't get up to 3 alerts this month sef.

Even the early deduction is suspicious. Money hunters.

During the lockdown the idiots neglected it's customers who have been giving them fame and money, went ahead to donate huge some of money to the Useless govt and then use style to get the money back from the poor masses.

I know some of you will look at the money as little but try to times an average of 38naira to let's say 1million customers...that's 38milllion and ofc we know their customers are over than that by far. Those days we bank in bank to get profit and lil interest, these days it is pure steady deductions. Sometimes we ignore things too much in this country and seem powerless that's why the rich keep getting richer and can trample on the poor as they like in this country

Local man is pissed.

The solution- Log in through internet banking. Deactivate SMS.

Henceforth, use your app to confirm transactions. That's what I did few years ago.

Ecobank has been doing this since time immemorial; charging VAT on SMS even when it is clearly stated that airtime purchased are VAT inclusive.

Some banks email alerts are slow to reflect. It could take hours after the original transaction has been made before you get an email notification.

All those having issues with clone ATM and bank with GT

Solution - Log in through internet banking. Create a spend to save account also known as own account.

Move all your money there. Whenever you need money, transfer from own account to main account.

Your own account can only be operated by you alone. It is not attached to your ATM. No one can send or withdraw money from there, except you. That's what I have been using since it was launched. Stay safe.

I don’t know which bank you are using..but GTB’s email alert is sharp sharp....

My brother doesn’t even care about any alert...he checks for any activity on his account with his Bank app..

Besides na deduct, deduct they just dey deduct from the account since I open am

I have not withdrawn from the account, I only paid in, so what are they charging me for

I opened it to save money and not for my money to be stolen by the bank!!!

If this is the case, is it not better I keep my money for myself and by myself

Bank app is the best. Email alerts for banks like Polaris, FirstBank, the ones that I know are pretty slow.
