Good day all, I trust y'all doing well today. I would like you to proffer a solution to this. I believe some people have been in this type of situation before. I'll be brief and straight to the point.

Currently I have job that pays nothing less than 650k if you add allowances and benefits. I've been shortlisted for a sponsored type rating course in Canada next year.

Issue is I got another job offer in South Africa which will pay a salary of 50k Rands every month (twice as much as my current salary).

Now, I don't know which to choose. The program I'll be going for next year cost some pretty big bucks, and before going on the program I will be made to sign an agreement (MOA) with my employer which means that I can't leave the organisation until after a specified number of years (four years). If I do leave before 4 years, the contract would be enforced and I'll be made to pay back the full cost of the sponsored course.

If I accept the job in SA, I'll have to sponsor the course myself.

The benefit of the course is that I'll be promoted to a captain after a while. Which also means higher pay, benefits e.t.c.

The SA job is really enticing but I have a lot of things under consideration. E.g
- Life in SA, working conditions
- Xenophobia
- Family
- I also had plans to settle down before the end of next year.

So please what do you advise?

Mynd44 Lalasticlala Dominique Seun.

This is the real definition of in between the devil and the deep blue sea. Two amazing options. If it was me I will take the job in South Africa and save and sponsor myself for the training. I just hate anything Nigeria grin.

Let the big boys come and give you proper advice.

I will advise you to take the SA position. South Africa is not that bad especially if you come as a professional.

South Africa looks okay to me, but it's still a tough decision.

Mynd44 Lalasticlala Dominique can you push this to FP, let's get more insight.

Nice offers by the way.

As tricky as it is, south Africa might be the better option
