My Experience With A Boy Wearing a Skirt In A Hotel by Nobody: 11:26am On Dec 31, 2020
So i was seated in hotel waiting patiently for someone. Then suddenly i saw some of the hotel staffs laughing, i looked to see what was amusing them and i saw someone with a masculine appearance and the person putting on a T-shirt and a mini skirt. Yes, the facial appearance is exactly like that of a male, looked at the chest, completely flat, the shape too looked masculine with very flat ass. The legs were so skinny but could pass for a female leg.
I was like ''is this another Bobriksy? A man who wants to become a woman or likes dressing like woman''
He didn't even apply any makeup on the face or wore any wig or hairstyle. I just felt this person could be transgender and me also gender nonconforming person, i hate it when i see people who laugh at others who are different like this.
So i walked politely to him and introduced myself and wanted to be friends with him. Everyone was just looking at us but i didn't care. He was talking so low but the voice sounded masculine.
So i told him let us sit over there and talk, he noticed am quite different from the others and how friendly i seem with him. He followed me, we sat. I asked if he want to order for anything, he said no.
I started asking politely about him, why he was wearing a skirt. He wasn't comfortable talking about it, so i told him about myself and am intersex and he should feel free with me and i completely understand these things..
I think he started trusting me afterwards then he told me he is also intersex and he was born with a vagina and raised up as a girl and his body didn't turn out to be like girl's body but instead a man's body. I was like ''wow! So this person has a vagina! This person that look and sound exactly like a man. I even thought it was a man wearing a skirt''..
It was a wonderful experience for me meeting another intersex person.. Ya we exist, so better be informed about us..

It is well.. I have learnt never to judge intersex people after I watched the live interview of a guy on Funmi Iyanda's show about 15yrs ago. When I was a student in U.I, we had a guy in U.I then that resided in Bello hall. He was extremely feminine and he was nicknamed Miss Bello.
He really went through a lot of stigma back then.. he later deferred a session and came back later on as a beautiful girl to complete her education.

NB: Do not judge people because you do not know the demons they wake up to fight everyday within them.... A demon you may never survive an encounter with for a day.

@intersexsherry, I wonder what you might have gone through all these years... But keep a positive attitude at all times.

Hi Sherry, I've been following you for a while and I believe you are awesome. Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. All the best

Even for non-intersex people, naija is hard.

This is why women are advised to birth early and diet properly during pregnancy.

I can't really remember her name... I only knew her from afar. She was a member of BLW campus fellowship and most of them really stood by her back then including my Class Rep.

I admired her resilience every time I saw her cos I understood how hard it was for her. Guys made fun of her back then and taunt her with rape even as a guy.

If she is the Ella, which I think she is... She is a role model for resilience and courage in the face of stigma

stop referring to her as a guy. She is a girl o. She was only raised up as a guy. Mistake and she fixed it. She was never a guy, only lived as a guy.

This world is a crazy place. Though i am a Christian, things like this is why i believe some homosexuals when they say they were born that way. Things are happening in this life.

In India, you see so many deformities and you ask yourself why was this person born this way?

It is easy to say nobody is ugly and we are all beautiful inside. It is easy to say when you are not the one suffering the issue.

So much suffering in this world. It's like life is a roll of dice. Sometimes it falls in your favour and sometimes it doesn't.
