Nation Builders Assembly's President Marks Yuletide With Grassroots of Oro Nation

The International President, Nation Builders Assembly, Comrade Joseph Goodluck has marked his Christmas celebration with the grassroots in Oro Nation in the company of Hon. Atanang Osung and Mrs. Mfonobong Umoh.

The benevolence which featured the fueling of tanks for all commercial motorcyclists in the five Local Government Areas that make up Oro Nation according to him, was a way of appreciating God for preserving the lives of his people throughout 2020 which to so many, has been a year of great nightmares.

Comrade Goodluck also maintained that the exercise was in solidarity to governor Udom Emmanuel's strive in putting smiles on the faces of the grassroots in this yuletide season.

"The governor of Akwa Ibom State, Deacon Udom Emmanuel has put in great efforts toward alleviating poverty in the state. One of such is the building of many functioning industries across the State which our brothers and sisters have been gainfully employed. This has made people across the globe to nickname him Mr. Industrialization.

Not just this, he has ensured that every family in the state smiles in this yuletide season. Many things have been done to actualize this, so my widow's mite of today is as a solidarity for the governor's strive.

Reacting on the need to be self equipped for the future, Mr. Goodluck urged the bikers not to see motorcyclist operation as the end of road for them.

"Few years ago, I was a motorcyclist. That was my only source of livelihood, but I made sure I learnt other skills in preparation for the opportunities in future. By God's willing, the opportunity came, and I am who I am today. I want to urge all of you that being a motorcyclist is not the end of road. There are much better opportunities coming in future, but you must well prepared for it. Use the little money you are making to engage yourselves in skill development. That's the only way you can grab the opportunities when they come your way tomorrow."

The President while appreciating Her Excellency, Dr. (Mrs) Martha Udom Emmanuel and the Patron of the Association, Elder Elijah Iyak (aka Udoeka) who's also the Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goal, to the governor, for their numerous support throughout these years, he maintained that without them, he wouldn't have been who he is today, and the capacity to do what he has done today wouldn't have been possible. He said that the duo have been instruments of blessings to his life, so he felt the only way he could show gratitude was to give back to his communities.

Speaking further on security, the Oro born philanthropist opined that from the inception of the Udom Emmanuel led administration, the state has witnessed an uncompromised peace and strict security, which Oro Nation is not an exemption. He therefore urged the people to continue in their unalloyed support for the governor even beyond 2023 so as to sustain the already existing peace.

The Executive Chairman of Udung Uko Local Government Area, Hon. Atanang Asuquo Osung who's also a stakeholder of the Association used the opportunity to thank the state governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for his emergence as the Chairman of the local government Area. He also appreciated His Excellency for ensuring that the Akwa Ibom's dream of making the Deep Seaport project becomes a reality at last as it will create thousands of direct and indirect jobs for the teeming Akwa Ibom citizens.

The Chairman maintained that as a foot solider of the governor, Comr. Goodluck is toeing in that same footstep which has always been to give back to the community.

" I want to commend the Nations Builders Assembly's President for seeing the need to celebrate this year's yuletide season with the grassroots. This is one benevolence that deserves commendations and support. I am here for that purpose.

Throughout my stay in office as Chairman of Udung Uko Local Government Area, I'll not hesitate to support good innovations like this, and I'll also ensure we engage on sustainable projects for the betterment of our young people."

The chief security officer of the Local Government Area admonished everyone to remain law abiding and peaceful with one another. While promising to do his best towards delivering the dividends of good governance, he solicited for their unshakable support for the governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel.

The Chairman, Udung Uko Motorcyclists Union, Comrade Okon Effiong who expressed appreciation for the governor and Comrade Goodluck assured that nothing will deter their loyalty and support for the governor beyond 2023.

Thousands of motorcyclists across the five Local Government Areas were beneficiaries of this philanthropic gesture of the Nations Builders Assembly's President. In each of the LGAs, what was witnessed was a cheerful crowd.

The five local Government Areas were, Okobo, Oron, Mbo, Urue Offong/Oruko and Udung Uko. According to Comrade Goodluck, the show of love will be a constant one from time to time.
