There was a time Nairaland romance section gained recognition that relationships magazine use to post stories from here. There were mature minds that made here bubble. 50% of the monkiers on this section are oldies who opened new account to troll and attack perceived enemies.

30% are extremely toxic and depressed kids who's only joy and satisfaction is coming here to express their anger, frustration, depression... etc.

10% are on ghost mode. They don't really care, they post like once in a week or month, whatever goes on here isn't really their concern.

10% are the serious ones who take this section very seriously, engage in rational, logical and productive discussions. Sadly their number is so few to make any reasonable impact. This is why this section has become a shadow of itself like you rightfully pointed out.
