American rapper, DaBaby, has been released from police custody after he was arrested for gun possession on Thursday afternoon in Beverly Hills, California.

The 29-year-old rapper was charged on one count of carrying a concealed weapon and one count of carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle, the Beverly Hills Police tell PEOPLE.

Police say that shortly after 4:30 p.m., officers were called to Rodeo Drive after a store’s security reported that a man had a weapon in his waistband while in the store.

To carry a concealed weapon, you need a specific license.
If you can own a gun, and it is in your home or car, you haven't broken any law.

Even with a valid CC permit, a black man packing heat stands a good chance of getting arrested on flimsy charges, or getting shot by the police, for packing while black. Obviously this rapper did NOT have a CC permit, so the police were delighted to haul him in to jail.
