I have noticed that people are with the mentality that those livestock are not worth investing on, probably due to the long investment return rates, or we feel it's not a wise business to venture on. Please I need your opinions on this.

Have you any knowledge in the enterprise before the capital?

I kind of like being around farm animals...

So, such agricultural practises kind of appeal to me. Especially when they involve very modern practises.

Great farmers are not around here. Research dairy production and you'll be amazed how you can hit it seriously. Also, it is not deceptive that it can be started with chicken change. You want to go into it, be ready with bundles of naira.

A couple of engagements here and there.

But honestly, I get interested about things concerning livestock.

There is something about the smell of a livestock farm that I like. And that includes the smell of dung, grass and cattle feed.

There is a guy I worked with. Bro, I do not work with these "yeye" consultants around. Even mentors will start doing shakara. But when you sit them down, nothing much dey their heads. And their shakara too much. Why? Its cattle naooo. I partnered with a guy when I had a project some years ago, I gave him not so fat milking regular cash. "Give me N7,000 per cow" cos hes following me to market is not in my dictionary. Yet, the guy is relying on another person to follow him too, and the other person is relying on another "far far" person. "Mayweather" cousins. Mouth too much. grin

As I was saying, the guy is humble and sound. I called him and told him to work with me. I gave him incentives and little changes along the line, but we had a deal. I gave him strategies and was watching him closely. He was the manager monitoring everything. The guy was faithful. We had an agreement from day 1, and I fulfilled it. We agreed on a number of bulls he is taking away at the end of the day after 1.5 years "fattening the cattle". He was "made" after, and I was happy too. Today, he is my friend and colleague. I have not found anyone like him in cattle business till date.

I tried another guy recently, he felt he was smart, but he didn't realise he "jammed" a coded man. I check-mated him in every way. Na me him wan use brain for. He never see anything..

What can you do sir? I am considering dairy at the moment? Can you AI cattle? Can you handle forages? Can you prepare silage and hays? Of course there are local ways of folding hays, but if anyone proves himself, I can get cutting machine, hays maker, etc. Can you manage a dairy farm? I am growing minimum of 2 ha. I am not going to treat you like a consultant, but you will work and I will agree with you to take some offsprings from your work. I do not mind getting importing semen. I always import as I do not deal with Naija, except I find someone who is honest without shakara. And at the same time, I will keep fattening some. Perhaps it's the offspring you will take or we agreed on some numbers of huge ones you will take at the end of the contract..Its all about negotiation. I keep to agreements...I do not know about you. Yes, it's a long way forward, but can you do it? Perseverance, contentment and faithfulness are the way to success. Remember, the patient dog eats the biggest bone.

Whao I am very happy to see this sir. I can handle forage(main field and harvest ) very well including silage and hay making as I am a Bachelor of agriculture degree holder (forage science option). I graduated in January 2020 and currently I am awaiting NYSC mobilization. However, I am very unhappy to inform you that I cannot carry out artificial insemination neither can I handle a dairy cattle farm. My area of expertise is beef cattle production. Thank you very much sir.

We train you on goat farming. How to become a successful goat farmer.
Our goats are improved species given you minimum of 5kids twice yearly, you know what that means after few years of raising them.

The skills I really need is what you do not posses; except forage production. And there is no way to do dairy without AI. Beef production is just to have it by the side so I can generate running costs of the business.

By the way which breeds do you specialize in?
Which do you buy? Females or Males
What age range do you start fattening?
And how long does it take you to reach what weight before you sell?

Or maybe we discuss privately. You can drop your WhatsApp. But really, its dairy I want to start..

Good morning sir. I am sorry for the late reply. Please my whatsapp-enabled phone is currently unavailable. To the questions above
1. I specialize in White fulani(bunaji) and N'dama breed
2. I buy both males and females. Males have a faster growth rate compared to females.
3. Once the animal is at least 2 years , I start fattening and this last for 90 days
4. After 90 days of fattening, the animal attains a live weight of at least 250kg. Thank you very much

Bro! This thread can be turned to encyclopedia of N'dama, but I refuse to create haters and scammers for myself. I can work with your breed. And I can AI them later. I am just going to build the farm, it's a new site, so you can check the place when you are free. Pls, send me message. Let's pick it up from there privately. Thanks!

Bro, consultants will raise up weapons of war soon. They don't like people who teach. And they have many mods they "settle". It is a fact we have evidences to back up. It is 2021, I do not want their wahala. You can send me mail too, we will discuss and see what we can do. I wish to teach, but I've learned to not release too much to dogs.
