Rivers State Student Rewarded With Scholarship And Money For Returning A Lost Phone He Found.

In a ceremony that had in attendance Students and other personalities, 19 old years Ami Victor Ugochukwu who hails from Emuoha LGA in Rivers State and is a 100 level Political science student of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) was rewarded with a four year scholarship, an award of excellence and the sum of N200,000 by management of Ignatius University of Education (IAUE ) for returning a lost phone he found.

The smart phone which Ugochukwu found belong to a lecturer in the University, one surprising thing that made his case different was, when he found the lost Phone, he didn't have any phone

The Vice Chancellor of IAUE Prof. Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele declared Ami Victor Ugochukwu the best student for the 2019/2020 academic session. He also said the honour giving to the student is to show that if students behave well, they will be rewarded.

"We want to pass a message to the public and in particular our students that it pays to behave well. There is always reward for hard work, reward for integrity and sincerity" he said.

Mother of the student, Patience Ami who was also present at the ceremony said, the reason her son returned the lost phone was because he had the fear of God. She thanked the VC of the University for the reward.
