FahBuLous: God didn't say it. Only "pastors" encourage it so that people around would know "violent" prayers are always prayed in their congregation. This attracts more customers (sorry, congregants) which increases the number of people they can manipulate. I don't know why some "pastors" feel the more chaotic a service is, the more the Holy Spirit is present. 1 Like |

No. That's a common tradition being done today. Some churches go as far as putting megaphones outside so people can hear them shout. Jesus reasoned with the scripture with them, and taught them to pray. (Mat. 6:9, 10). The vulnerable deem it as calling holy spirit or annointing. What holy spirit? What holy spirit comes in violence, and speaking in insane tongues far from what the bible teaches? Your guess is as good as mine: it is done so people can know a church is there, and not necessarily because it is done for God. They need more church members, and that translates more offerings and tithes for the man in coat. Prayer is supposed to be pouring your heartfelt desires, and gratitude like a child to a father, and not the public nuisance majority of people do today...just like the ancient Pharisees Jesus condemned who only yearned to be noticed. 1 Like |

that's most of the Christian's mentality, i just look at them when we are in the church, some will even go to the extent of throwing themselves to the group whereas their lifestyle and character is way bad than the people they call unbelievers... Just pray without disturbing anyone |

FahBuLous:Actually Jesus Christ warned His followers against praying aloud or in public for that matter. He instructed them to instead go in their closets to pray in secret so that there Father who hears and sees in secret will answer their petition. When next you meet this man, show him what Jesus Christ said. |

edoairways:God is not a liar. He does not answer to those who disobey Him. His mercy and compassion however, He pours out daily on all the wicked and just alike but God would not go against His own word to answer the prayer of those who are against Him. |
