Buhari is borrowing money carelessly, funding the influx of Fulani herdsmen to Nigeria. Real Nigerians must rise up and defend and protect their territories.
If only we had the gift of foresight...if only.

Instead of SW leaders to mobilise OPC to enter the forests they are waiting for the herdsmen to enter lagos before they get sense. Bunch of fools waiting for 2023 presidency

FFK is right.....the Governor has no unilateral right to take that kind of decision.....we condemn his actions...its in his own best interest that he changes his mind and reverse that ultimatum.

Its either you didn't read what FFK wrote, or you are plain dumb and cannot comprehend a simple discourse, or you're just deliberately f.ooling around and luring people like me to comment just for the fun of it. Like being mischievous.

Southerners won't do anything trust me. It's like they were programmed to serve the North. Worst of it all, the media based in the south will always destroy any Southerner in power but will look the other way if a Northerner is in power. Go and check the records.
Very correct

Nigeria will remain Nigeria, whether southerner is ruling or Northerner is ruling Nigeria, the Governor has no power to put any machine working in his state without the federal government, therefore stop the childish talk and face the reality, Nigeria will remain Nigeria whether fulani man is in power or not.
who is the federal government? Are they not humans? What some of you have failed to understand is that change is constant and the world will continue to experience change.
Ethnic nationalities are wising up and are beginning to put measures in place to protect their people.

Personally, I do not think this issue can be solved without Southern compromise. Esp in the NC and SW, where there is a religio-cultural similarity with the Fulanis. During the Nigerian civil war, Houphouet-Boigny was quite insistent that though he supported the Biafrans, the encroachment of the West African Islamic Sahelian belt toward the coast is inevitable.

The greatest changes in history are driven by climactic shifts. For example, the Goths and co moving toward Roman lands or Turks entering Anatolia.
In fact the Turkic example is most appropriate as it happened exactly 1000 yrs (1010s, 1020s to the end of 1070s) ago and re defined geography and history. Similarly, the Sahara is on the move. Many of these ppl are fleeing rather precarious existences to the lush south. Moreover, the nation state of Nigeria guarantees their right to move.

On the other hand, some of them want to seize things thru the back door. But the issue with fighting back is; how to ? Nigeria's 60 year history has been a Sahelian empowerment program. They have, with lesser merit and resources, accumulated the key positions in the executive, bureaucracy and security services. In business, I do not think they are equaled either. Not that they are smarter, just more politically conscious.
Why risk fighting a war that you will not win? There has to be compromise on this issue. Esp for fellow Muslims, as these ppl are Muslim faithful or at least purport to be. This is a time of meeting and talks, not threats. The disservice done to Nigeria is that the murderers among them might go unpunished. There seems to be irresponsible ethnic chauvinism from the elites of the Fula. Nobody is apologizing for the harm done to the various communities in the NC SW and even SE. One cannot imagine it going the other way.

Either way, history repeats itself, esp on these macro level changes and events. And as long as a group is smart to ppl the NCOs and top officers with their ppl, any war/physical struggle will be won by them. Let the Fula settle. Northern Oyo is very similar to their area. But work on bringing the criminals to justice. Now that's the hard part !

I like how you delude yourself into actually thinking or believing that Buhari and the cabal will easily relinquish control of this nation after tasting power that eluded them since Yar'Adua died... Especially in an election organized by people under their direct control and payroll (INEC).

Keep dreaming sir. grin

You clearly do not understand the issue at hand.
Do you think the average southern politician is affected by any of these events? Do you think their immediate families are affected?

They simply do not care, these events to them are collateral damage and worthy sacrifices for the actualisation of their political ambition. We do not have leaders, what we have are career politicians who are skilled at the art of stealing.

People keep making this mistake of thinking there is some messianic figure at the horizon who will come and save us all from this mess. No, there are no such figures, there are no such individuals. When Buhari leaves, Fulanis are still strategically placed within government parastatals to continually ensure protection for these killer herdsmen. It is clear they have an agenda and it is clearly not to the advantage of any average southern folk.

Everyone (all southern tribes, whether east, west or south) needs to come together, put aside stupid differences of religion and tribe and fight to protect what is rightfully ours otherwise this storm coming will wipe us all away and our generations to come will be slaves in their own land. It has happened before and history does have a way of repeating itself if care is not taken. If we do not become proactive and continue to react, one day these events may well overwhelm us all!

Lol @ sermon. I was drawing parallels my guy. Many things we experience are re iterations of past events. Just perspicacity to a very confounding issue. Esp where concession will be hard to give (ego wise, being on the losing side).

We as Southerners can only try to tighten the legal rope around them to ensure that they are kept in line.

Long story short: the Fula are going nowhere. Counter their militant posture with the law. Arrest and try. The versus mentality cropping up is playing into their hands. An armed conflict will end in their favor. Anyhow u do it.

Now you are talking, my brethren. Between sips from my keg of fresh palm-wine, I was able to read this summary, understand it fully, and support it wholeheartedly in all its ramifications.

I raise a toast to you sir. Try all cow-herding invaders, kidnappers, crop destroyers and land grabbers in the court of law, as a prelude to slam-dunking them in jail for a nice long stretch, while having those who offer any resistance, duly terminated with extreme prejudice on the spot.

Despirado121:
Femi Fani-Kayode has attacked the Buhari-led administration for condemning Governor Rotimi Akeredolu's ultimatum for herdsmen to leave forest reserves in Ondo state within 7 days, Igbere TV reports.

The governor gave the directive on Monday, January 18 Sermons following claims that “bad elements” have turned the forest reserves into hideouts for keeping victims of kidnapping, negotiating for ransom and carrying out other criminal activities.

In a statement released on Tuesday January 19, presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, stated that the governor being a senior lawyer should know better than unilaterally expelling thousands of herders who have lived all their lives in the state.

FFK in a series of tweets posted this morning said Garba Shehu's position is ''insulting, provocative, asinine & absurd.''
