I was listening to BBC when i heard of a pastor in the U S that burnt a copy of quoran,i was wondering what got into the head of that so called pastor,i dont think i have ever seen were it is written in the bible to destroy quoran,this single act can start a world war,i am a christain leaving in kaduna,i know what i am saying, any attack on any religion can spark up war,so fellow nairalanders lets hear from u.

my bro I dont just understand its ridiculous. Why interfere in other people's sacred religion. They say moslem is guilty of crimes because of september 11 attacks. Why do you muslims get their panties in a bunch so easily? Americans have freedom of expression, so the guy had every right to burn the quran.
If muslims are so offended about it, all they need to do is grab a few copies of the guy's book of fairytales and burn them. Demonstrating and killing some Nepalese workers or anybody for that matter because of what one american did is just plain retarrded.
You cant keep claiming to be adherents of a peaceful religion if the threat of violence is inevitable whenever someone hurts your fragile feelings.
If allah is offended, then his invincible a$$ needs to come out from wherever he is and lodge a complaint.
Now, I'll go burn me a quran and maybe throw in a copy of the bible too and harry potter. They are all essentially the same fictional bs anyway.

The burning was done to press the button of some fanatical muslims to do exactly what was done by the afghans. This is why it is crucial for mankind to outgrow the effect religious doctrines have on us, because if we don't, there are sinister people who would use such religious effects to lure us into self-destruction.

Who this pastor is actually answering to needs to be found out, because what he did was not the act of a normal thinking person. We should be prepared to see more and more of this type of provocations happening in the foreseeable future. So we should be prepared.

there is nothing called completely unchecked without boundary 'freedom of expression' in the usa. thats the fact.

my proof; i tender the action of the president of the senate, aka vice president [dick cheney of dubya bush administration] by his reaction to what he called 'equal to my mama joke' from senator layhee from vermont.

right there in the senate chamber, for the mic to pick up, he said 'f u' to the surprised senator.

if cheney, the conservative could allow a person to reach a limit, but when the person steps out of that boundary, he turns even worse that danfo conduct, what do we expect of few out of 1.5 billions people from community who will see the 'burning' worse than 'your mama' joke? i, as a muslim do not like the 'burning', but i realize that all muslims may not have my mild reaction; Quran is in the heart. it is recited, actualized as a guide.

Well, forgive me, mr. sweetnecta. But i am, unlike you, worried about the entire humanity (which i am part of) and what harm your precious religion is potentially capable of doing to it. And no, i am not an atheist, so i do not have an atheist ego, as you put it. You are free to continue to hold on to your religious islamic ideals, while i hold on to my own pro-humanity ideals.

Apart from the pastor who did the burning being extremely stoopid and egoistic, equally to blame is the idiotick journalist who decided to publish the silly story. Ordinarily if not for the mischief and sensationalism in the mind of the journalist, the burning of an ordinary book should not even be a news worthy item.

Burning quran is not a welcome idea, especially in a public. But killing is not the way to revenge, because the blood of those innocent people that were killed, will cry for vengeance over them. The Pastor said that quran is the major book that is causing crime all over the world and acting the way they acted shows that what the man said is true, if it is not true why should they killed because of the book, the bottom line is that they shouldn't have killed those innocent people all in the name of defending a religious book. I haven't seen any good Christian that killed someone because a Bible was burnt, simply because CHRIST has taught and instructed us to be tolerant in every aspect of life including religious. Killing is a criminal act to humanity and a sin to GOD almighty.

there are over 1.5 billion muslims in the world
more than 800 million can read the arabic quran
millions and millions hav memorised a portion or whole of it including myself(i'm not done memorising it)
so what's d big deal, let them buurn it.

Many centuries back,in the christian world burning the bible invoked the same emotions that burning the quran is evoking now in the muslim world.People have been killed and are still being killed for showing their non-approval of others' religious standards.

Don't worry the muslims too will eventually get more civilized and get over that attitude. May be then it will be the atheists' turn to kill for their believes.

The fact is that mankind will always have reasons to be divided and fight one another over unverifiable believes.We just love saying "you are wrong and I'm right."It is an ego booster.

A muslim friend of mine told me that sheets of the bible is the best for smoking weed and i did not strangle him so why should people open their disgusting mouth if some jobless pastor decides he wants to burn the Quran besides he bought the books with his own money so if someone decides to flush his money down the toilet how is that my problem?
